Philips 43PUS7506/12 - Loud blown out sound

    Hello,

I've got a really strange issue with the speakers on my Philips 43PUS7506/12. It makes this awful loud buzzing now. It happened after it was attempted to be wall mounted - I think the back got squeezed and something broke.
I thought maybe the speakers got damaged, so I replaced them - no dice.
    • Using the internal speakers, it always happens.
    • Using the headphone jack, it never happens.
    • Using the digital/optical out with a soundbar - it happens after about 2h/movie runtime - it's never as drastic, it just pops in and out, but I didn't want it to damage the sound bar so it gets turned off quickly.
I assume it's something heating up somewhere? I inspected the board and it looked okay, but I've no idea what I'm looking for or where to start.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rx9..._ODu7o/preview (I've attached a video if you want to watch it - ⚠ just have your volume low it's quite loud!)

    Cheers!

Try going into the picture mode settings, try default, if no joy try the others, see if that does it.

maybe the audio chip burned and shorted speaker . had that with a philips tv . cant remember model number now but almost same symptoms . see if the cap next to larger audio chip is getting hot

Screws being too long might make sense yeah - as for the capacitors, not 100% where the sound chip even is? Nothing looks obviously wrong to me, but not sure where I should look. Have attached pics of the inside.

Is it the CapXon 470? (it's measuring 430 ohm)

this chassis of Philips TPN216E the worst OS , at years 2021 was SAPHI then they changed via update to TITAN OS, which it failed always with DTS , Dolby Audio, and Dolby Atmos ..
thought they push 13 update since 2021 to 2022 .. so how its horrible things that they cant fix it..
i would suggest download from brand server the last firmware from 2022 and flash it again... don't forget it will be helpful too when you reset the TV from service menu after flashing the firmware.

I tried to pry that heat sink off to look, but I've not been able to, even after cutting away the glue and applying a fair bit of force.

Nor does the capactor get hot next to it (at least not quickly anyways).

& yeah at some point I'll flash it. It's been reset and that didn't make a difference (I went through all the steps with Phillips).

Nah, you can’t measure the resistance of 430 ohms in circuit across that capacitor and compare it to the 470uf capacitance rating. I don’t see any board damage from the screws. Weird phenomenon but at least the headphone jack works correctly. . You could try heat (wifeys hair dryer) and freeze spray (can of air upside down) approach and see what that does, if let’s say had a bad solder joint somewhere on the board.

The optical port is not managed by the chip under little heatsink (sound amp.) so i suspect the processor got cracked in some joints.. Try to remove big heat sink and press down hard when the defect happens...

Pressing down hard will probably just destroy the chip.

Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB (Chassis SR) TV Repair Help - Distorted Subwoofer Sound and overall weird sound waveforms
                        by LEECH666
                        Good day ladies and gentleman!

I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.

This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).

I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but...

Amplifier - bad sound when loud sound on bass
                        by eduaqa
I'n trying to fix a M&S SYSTEM DMC-1which have following problem:
I'm using FM station to do this fix, I works perfect if volume below around 8 or if bass is set to zero, the sound can go to 20 without problem, but if I set bass to maximum and try to go over 10 the sound comes distorted ... I saw a video on YouTube the person saying about the main capacitors on the power portion, but I disconnect the main transformer and inject direct to the capacitors PINs my bench power supply -23v 0v +23v, but still distorted so I think the problem is not the capacitor neither the transformer...

Hi, my TV image started showing those lines and the image faded away, but sound is still coming from it, what could be the cause and is it fixable? I thought it could be the tcon board but I red on the internet that it could be a failing panel
