I picked up this TV for free as it was going to be thrown away and I figured I may be able to bring it back to life. My initial thought is faulty LED backlights but want to get some input before I buy parts. I have replaced LED backlights in numerous LG tvs. The TV powers on like normal the backlight flashes and then it goes black, with a flashlight you can still see the picture and the backlight will intermittently flash. I have not torn this TV apart yet just got it tonight and wanted some input before I started tearing it apart and ordering parts but my gut tells me order LED strips and I should be good from there. Thanks in advance

seems like backlights, backlight testers are pretty handy, around 20 bucks on ebay or amazon.Quit because THIS SITE LETS A ROGUE MEMBER TYPE ANY GARBAGE HE PLEASES AND THE POWERS THAT BE NEVER DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT SO HE NEVER QUITS. Re: LG 55LB5900 backlight flashing
I've had a number of these LG LB models that flash. Generally I try to replace the LEDs that are open or short or with the highest forward voltage. However, if it's more than four or five LEDs to replace, then I order the strips.
It's also a crap shoot getting the LED diffusers back in the right spot. Most of the time I win, but sometimes I lose!Comment

use a little painters tape on those diffusers when you take them out, to keep them in order, maybe take pictures to remember how they fit back in.Quit because THIS SITE LETS A ROGUE MEMBER TYPE ANY GARBAGE HE PLEASES AND THE POWERS THAT BE NEVER DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT SO HE NEVER QUITS. Hello,
YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo
I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.
On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.
I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.
I changed the battery with a new and original battery.
I also had corrosion/oxidation on the... -
by STKR123As the Elitebooks (820, 840 all gens) only show flashing Power LED and flashing CapsLock (continuously) + a very soft "ticking" noise near the DC Jack,
I wonder if re-flashing the BIOS might be of any use here.
As far as I understood, steady flashing either means insufficient power or a CPU/GPU/Motherboard issue. I use the original 65watt power supply.
There are so many threads out there, but most of the solutions involve flashing codes, which I dont have or claim that you MUST use the original power supply, do a hard reset, reseat the RAM, clean the RAM,... -
by rddubeHello everyone,
Thought I'd share this find for the repair of an LG tv which had started to turn on but would only get flashing backlights. Backlights would flash at a few second intervals, and when I opened it, noticed that only the 3 bottom rows were flashing, the 2 top rows were completely dead. Replaced a few burnt leds (tested with my led tester), put everything back together, tested all led strips and they were all good, but again the 3 bottom rows would go into this flashing cycle.

by DanPokaI bought this p2210f dell monitor to fix. Schematic is the same as p2210.
Behaviour is that monitors comes on but then backlight switches off almost instantly. If I look with flashlight I can still find the "No signal message". So definitely a backlight issue. Trying to advance the issue I proved that the protection circuit is switching off the backlight by shorting out C3 and resistor to disable the INL chip then re enable by removing the short.
This is where it gets interesting. When I disassembled the monitor to solder leads on c3 capacitor I noticed the backlight flickered...-
