  • Anyone have any thoughts on this? Since I took a while to get the readings and get back to this thread I'll recap it in case anyone has any ideas. When you power Tv on red power light flashes goes out then right back to solid red like it is when the TV is off, I did by a replacement main board because of recommendations from another site and it was not the problem. TV still does not work with the new board. I was asked to get readings off the 16 pin connector from the photo above. Starting with the readings from top to bottom for the left column and going then top to bottom on the right column...

  • You are correct. I missed the other 8 I flipped the board over plugged it in and got the readings.

below in the same order are the other 8 readings.

    1. 0v
    2. 0v
    3. 0v
    4. 0v
    5. 0v
    6. 0v
    7. 32v
    8. 0v

the first readings were for the outside set of 8 pins these are the readings for the inside 8 pins. All with tv plugged in but powered off....

  • Was given advice on a Facebook tv repair group that my problem was the main board, found a main board purchased and tv still does not function properly but has different symptoms than it originally had. When you plug in and power up the tv now the red power light goes out like normal and stays out as if the tv is on but I have no picture sound or backlight (no picture with a flashlight shined on the screen). If you try to power the tv down it will not power down you have to unplug it to power it down. I will get the voltages requested when I get the chance but just wanted to update...

  • Sharp 55A6130UWG1830J8 won’t power on

I have a neighbor who brought me this TV to see if I can repair it for him. When the TV is plugged in you get a red power light, when you press the power on the TV or remote the light blinks, goes out, then back to solid red, there is nothing on the screen during this no logo, no sound, no backlight or anything. Took the back off and nothing jumps out to me capacitors all look good. Where would I start in diagnosing the problem? Thanks in advance!

So the LED reflectors is the issue. I am finally getting around to fixing this TV. Does anyone know how to get these LED connectors off? Having a heck of a time and don't want to break it....

  • Samsung Un65ku6300fxza light spots

I have a Samsung 65in 4k tv with 2 light spots that I am wondering if anyone can help me with the cause of them. One has been visible for a while but I just had a 2nd spot start recently. I am thinking some sort of LED or LED lense/reflector issue. They look to light to be pixel problems but I guess that could be it also. Everyone on here has always been great at helping an amateur like me repair tv's so figured I would start here to see if anyone has an idea of what it might be....

  • LG 55LB5900 backlight flashing

I picked up this TV for free as it was going to be thrown away and I figured I may be able to bring it back to life. My initial thought is faulty LED backlights but want to get some input before I buy parts. I have replaced LED backlights in numerous LG tvs. The TV powers on like normal the backlight flashes and then it goes black, with a flashlight you can still see the picture and the backlight will intermittently flash. I have not torn this TV apart yet just got it tonight and wanted some input before I started tearing it apart and ordering parts but my gut tells me order LED strips and I should...

All strips were replaced with new ones from shop Jimmy. I just checked voltage and I am at 254 volts DC. I did not turn down the backlight or change anything just replaced the LED's and put it back together. Worked perfect for a day now no backlight at all.

Ok so I replaced the backlight and all was good for a day now the backlight is completely out but picture can be seen with a flashlight could the backlight really be bad again or could the be a power supply problem?

My gut tells me it's the LED's since it seems to be so common with these LG's but I have never seen one still have some backlight and a picture like all the ones i have done have had no backlight or it would flash then go out....

  • LG 55UJ6300 Very Dim

I am trying to diagnose my mother and father in laws TV. The TV has a picture and is functioning properly other than the screen is very dim. If you are in a bright sunny room you can't see anything but if you are in a dark room you can see the picture but you can tell it's not right. I don't know if it's an LED probably, I have had other LG's that had nothing but problems with the LED's but when those had problems the screen would be completely black. Would love some help diagnosing so I can get this fixed for them. Thanks in advance!...

  • Re: Hisense 55H6B Blue tint

Tore the TV apart tonight and can confirm it is the LEDS. I powered on the TV while apart and all of them were bright blue. I have new ordered and will get them in once I get them. Appreciate the help.
