It was a John Lewis website I saw that was offering the 5 year warranty and not samsung as I thought, sorry. However lots of large retailers in the UK sell their sets with 5 year warranty so I would consider where it was purchased from and see if there was an extended warranty with the set.
My Panasonic set has 6 year warranty through the large retail store I bought from which was included in the purchase price.Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Dont think they are running too bright as there are dark spots and sometimes the pic is dark
