• Re: Toshiba 40L3663DG Need memory DUMP Flashing STBY

I have tried usb flashing, it didnt work . Then i got my hands on a ezp2019 flasher and i succesfully read and programmed the bios , but the problem is still there. I checked all voltages seem fine. I got 3.3 on the nand , and 3.3 on the bios chip . Cpu gets warm so im guessing its gettin voltage just fine . I even swapped for another power supply board and the same issue is there so thats ruled out. I probe the Sclk pin and i see no activity only straight +3v line. It seems that cpu has died on this one too?

The TV is in Sby mode Flashing lights , nothing happening ,
On the clck pin of MX25l1606e i do not see a clock signal. Voltages seem fine.
if anybody has this dump pls help. ty

i probably jinxed myself with the last post about the programmer , ths is the last straw for me , im buying the programmer today.

• Re: Removing large LCD panels

I use the big double suction cup technique . Sometimes you will get like a circle mark on the screen if it has been on the for a long time, but it goes away in a short time. I always clean the sdie of diffusor that points to the leds , because it is known there for dust to settle. Also when putting back the screen , check for fitment on every corner , make sure the plastic saddle is clipped all the way around , and then you can put the bezzle on the screen. Pretty straight forward , i made a video showing the full process with some advices here and...

As someone who does these jobs daily , if you are going to an extent of opening the tv with removing the screen , you should replace the whole set of strips . Soldering by hand is not a good technique, and you will have problems. This is tested and tried by me .. Always replace whole strips as a unit , if you want to have some serious success with this... otherways i wouldnt really bother

Most likely a bad panel , Check voltages see if you get 12 volts to the tcon or the panel Board, Next check on panel board vgl , vgh voltages see if they come on briefly when you power on the tv , if they do and then go away , its the panel thats faulty most likeyl

• Re: Sony KDL40R470A Stuck on standby , red light

And a small little update , I checked with oscilloscope , the oscillator next to cpu is working , there is no voltage going to the memory IC. there arent many voltages present on the board to be honest . only 1 2.6v next to cpu and second is 3.3 v on the cpu . So i know whats wrong with this tv , the cpu is toast , since its doing nothing but its getting hot. Anyway , my question still stands , what programmer should i buy?

• Sony KDL40R470A Stuck on standby , red light

So this is the second tv this week that comes in with the same problem. The power supply looks good , There is a solid 3.3v stand by voltage. The tv doesnt react to button presses or from the remote. The Processor gets slightly warm and thats about it.
My question to other veterans on this forum is , what is more likely to be bad , the processor , or the memory chip. in this case there is a toshiba tsop48 fk4924 , tc58dvm92astaj0 . At the moment i do not have my hands on the programer but i will be buying it in the following weeks. i Can see that on 90% of tv boards there is a jack for...

• Samsung UE65RU7379U , Question about replacing led strips

This is a curved samsung EDGE lighted TV With bad leds. Now When i opened it up i found disperser glass to be terribly burned by the leds and even has some heat stress cracks on it as you can see in pictures. I already told the customer about the issue but to be honest i dont know if replacing the leds will yield a good picture. Im thinking its probably gonna have dark spots , but do you think its worth doing this job on this condition of glass? Here are pictures

This last picture really shows the terrible condition the glass is in.
Is this a dumpster...

You can check it by shorting the base and collector of that driving transistor

After replacing the 7815 reg , the issue was solved , and now the psu turns on and stays on. I suspect that was the problem all along. But ofcourse now that i have replaced both quad opamps maybe they were the issue too but i doubt it. Anyways that was my repair of this psu... not a very hard one but became really hard when you cant measure things in about 1 second at a time. If anyone has the same problem i suggest first checking the regulator IC on primary side and see if you get 15 volts.

• Re: Samsung PS50C450B1W ,PSU clicking no power

Ye im right on it , i hooked it up so that output of the regulator is floating . Its outputing 8volts so its definitely bad. I will replace it , along with some transistors surrounding the "start up" circuit on the primary side. I can also see some voltage is supposed to be getting to the op amp on the primary side , from all 3 other ICs. So im assuming thats how it checks if everything is okay and it can continue working.
Anyways i ordered some regulators they are arriving tomorrow so i will see if that solves the...

• Re: Samsung PS50C450B1W ,PSU clicking no power

I did look over solder joints , they are fine , the ones i can see well anyway. I replaced both op amps and it does the same thing. Today i have however found out that the KIA7815 regulator is bad... its outputting 8v instead of 15 . Maybe this was my problem all along or maybe i damaged it somehow , but like i said it was working fine one night , then after i left it plugged in over night i get this. i will order a new one and see where that gets me. Also it did have a small heatsink on it so maybe it was inadequate ... also this regulator...

• Re: Samsung PS50C450B1W ,PSU clicking no power

The capacitors are fine , i have checked them a couple times . The black marks on the capacitors was me marking them as good.Last night i left it plugged in i forgot to flip the switch on my mains supply. Now i checked and there was no ps_on voltage. Before it was 2.8v or something now it was zero.
I suspected the Quad op amp KA324 and i replaced it with what i had lying around the LM224 just to test. Now i get 4volts on ps_on and same clicking as before just a bit less loud. It was probably me who damaged the op amp , even tho...

• Re: Samsung PS50C450B1W ,PSU clicking no power

You are right , i guess it could be on the secondary side aswell with the feedback circuit, also i just noticed on the vcc output out of the VIPER22a (ICB802) there is a 30volt zener diode , so im assuming it should be 30 volts instead of 20 volts i am getting. i have checked the opto couplers with multimeter they seem to test fine. Maybe if i hook up a osciloscope to see what frequency i am getting out of it in regards to what the chip should be getting.

• Re: Samsung PS50C450B1W ,PSU clicking no power

Btw vcc voltage i mentioned is only being created after the regulator, i am not sure if that 20 volts i have read is right , or if its supposed to be higher , if its supposed to be higher then i have found my problem , the ICB802 (the pfc pwm chip) is the only responsible culprit in this case. Please if anyone has this board to tell me if this is right. You can see the board number is PSPF501A01A not sure if i had mentioned before.

• Re: Samsung PS50C450B1W ,PSU clicking no power

So heres the pictures and update on what i've tried so far.

back side

So i have removed the resistors and just bridged the ps_on to ground , i can hear a very light click of relay , obviously it does not close, and i found something interesting , one of the transistors is not conducting the 20 volts vcc.
Its the PNP transistor , on the base it has 20volts , on colector (the one going to the im assuming 15volt reg) has 4 volts on it , and 20 volts on emitter . Now it being pnp transistor thats obviously...

• Re: LG 55UJ6300 Very Dim

Yes , i can confirm i have repaired these sets before , 99% is the backlight , if you have some parts lying around and a 10Watt 33k-ish ohm resistor you can build a simple Backlight tester to save you the time of troubleshooting elsewhere.

• Samsung PS50C450B1W ,PSU clicking no power

I got this tv for close to nothing , i thought i would have a quick work of it and i was so wrong. The issue is the psu is clicking and i get no power , i have 5 volt stby , the light on tv is coming on then off continuously.
I have taken the board off powered it on alone , and still the same issue. I initially bridged the ps-on pin on the 804-2 connector with 700ohm resistor and nothing happened. Then when i bridge with a screwdriver i hear a double click (2 relays) and then quickly the relays go open and stops untill i release
and bridge it again. I have checked every single...

https://monitor.net.ru/forum/attachments/63292/ I was too curious so i checked it right now , no shorts on the panel board, then i started looking on he motherboard , because there might be an issue. My attention was drawn to the chip next to the capacitor where i got the 32v that dissapears . The chip is SW52212 , and online i found a russian forum where they talked about what it seemed like exact same problem. They gave up and...
