It seems from ZXW that PP_LUME_OUT is missing, 0v there. Should that be enabled even if no lcd connected ?...

iPad Pro 12.9 5th Gen Backlight Issue
Hello, got an iPad Pro A2378 12.9 5th gen with no backlight. Got another test unit without screen, tested the screen, still no backlight with the test unit.
Figured out the backlight on the screen was bad, ordred a new backlight from mobilesentrix, *carefully replaced it* without damaging the lcd, oh well.
Final result, issue is still there, the screen has no back lights. So i'm back to square one, with 3 hours less and 100$ out, issue still on the screen.
The panel is still ok, i can see the apple in the middle of the screen when it kicks in, just no backlight.
Anyone...

Lenovo Thinkpad E15 G1 Gen 1 Short
Hello Badcaps, got a Lenovo Thinkpad E15 G1 Gen 1 NM-C421 with a short i've found on a mosfet. When plugging the USB-C meter, it cycles 20V-off-20v-off. On mosfet PQ1102 i see a short a 12ohm to gnd resistance. Removed the mosfet, measuring on the board gives same result. Checking on a previous post i saw this schematic picture, but not sure if what i'm seeing is normal and what would be the proper tests to do from here. Not an expert by any means by trying to learn. Thanks...

Lenovo Thinkpad E15 G2 Gen 2 MN-D011 No Power 20V
Hello, here is a problem i have with a Lenovo Thinkpad E15 G2 Gen 2 MN-D011 that has no signs of life when plugged into charger. I tested it with a charged battery, laptop powers on.
Consumption on USB-C meter is 0.0A, 19.92V. I found many threads on the E15 G2, i've replaced both QB5 QB5 mosfets but no change. Does the 20V boost means that the UB7 charger ic is working ?
On QB5 i see 20V on one side and 19.74v on gate, on the other mosfet i get 20V on first side and 0.22v on gate.
Not sure where to go from here, if anyone can help.. Thanks...

Hey, you need to chill out a bit. I was just saying that flashing the bios from the website worked, in comparaison to editing the bios to patch many things. Not need to take it personal sir.. Thanks for your help anyway

Yep, using this tool Diah and the backside doesn't have any form of chip or anything just the pcb, very simple tool indeed. Yes nomoresonys i used tape on pins 39-41 to block the signal. I also found the panel fault, on right side coner an object hit it, so it creates a short under the panel. I slided a soft plastic piece between metal frame and panel corner, prevented the short (i could make it freak out by pressing the corner) and now even with pressure i isolated the fault. Tv works like new !Diah...

Hey, that worked ! Simple fix.. I tought edits were needed to make these boots from updates extracted file. Small hickup, when booting it says 'manufacturing programming mode is in unlock mode' and some checksum error but it boots anyway, installing windows now.
I guess i could re-update the bios from the official package to fix this ? Thanks again.

Need bios HP 17-CP0007CA 6050A3260801-MB-A01(A1)
Hello, here is the dump from this HP 17-CP0007CA with mainboard 6050A3260801-MB-A01(A1). Chip is a 128MB W25Q128JW WSON8 1.8V
Device boots to a black screen. Someone said the device was in bios recovery before...
Serial number is 5cg2023FDJ.
Anyone has a bios that works for this ? Thanks !...Last edited by cheebster; 02-05-2025, 02:20 PM.

Hi there, yes sure. TV works fine, and by inspecting the frame i see a missing bit of paint near the right corner, bottom. When i press the panel the picture gets distorted (prolly a short between frame and cof or similar. By using a piece of paper slided between panel and metal frame pressure does not create fault anymore.
So here is a picture of the service menu showing the BDP errors telling the tv power on problem was a panel fault. However, now it's restored to full usage. Not an expert by any means imho !
Thanks,...

Oh, i got the tv running! Running out of time this morning but messing with a small piece of tape, i think pin 41 blocked will confirm. What i can tell now, is that tv powers on and image is great.
Will also check service menu to find out what's happening, what faults were recorded in the main.

Hello, thanks for your replies Diah. Buffer boards, well they are hidden under metal it's kinda hard.
Ok so, to bypass the error detection, you say micom pin6.. I found this on the T-CON, pulled the pin on the connector backside, still does not power on.
Do we have an idea on how to bypass the error detection ? I have tried this rail also on a defective sony oled, but it doesn't power on. Cutting the track doesn't do the job it seems
Do i need to ground this pin ? Is there any reliable pinout/schematics of these connectors/tcons available ?...Last edited by cheebster; 01-21-2025, 07:24 AM.

LG OLED55CX Clicking No Power
Hello, i have this OLED here, as the topic says OLED65CX.
TV shows standby led, when pressed the PSU clicks, then shut down.
Disconnecting the 12V VIN from the T-Con, make the TV boot up, led flashes like normal and it stays on.
What i've tried so far:
I have a working TV, an OLED55C1. Similar TV... Took all the boards to the C1, 1 by one, and everything works. So basically, all of these boards from the defective CX (PSU, Main, TCON) works either 1 by 1, or together on the working C1.
However, none of the C1 boards work on the CX,...
