Re: VIZIO D60-F3 Wont Power ON, No Standby, No Picture, No Sound
Update on this. I have gotten a new power supply as mentioned earlier and I just received my new main board it was a used model from ebay. I am getting voltages on the power supply and at the main board with the new one plugged in now but this replacement has no ready light no optical light and does nothing. How do I rule out anything else before I contact the seller and tell them I believe I have a dead board?

Re: VIZIO D60-F3 Wont Power ON, No Standby, No Picture, No Sound
Picked up a Power Board for this set. Got it all plugged up and it is still dead/no ready light wont turn on etc. However I DO have voltage at the board if I unplug the main board from the power supply. Here is what I get.
Pins:
Pin 1 - Pin 10 show 0v.
Pin 11 - 16.25v
Pin 12 - 4.3v
Pin 13- 0v PS-ON
Pin 14 - 16v
Pin 15 - 16v
and since you do not get any LED indicator on the front panel of the TV either so there is something going on with the main board. Do you see any red light on the Optical port of the main board?Leave a comment:

At 20-30 bucks on ebay, certainly worth a shot, for a 60 inch tv.Last edited by nomoresonys; 11-18-2020, 05:25 AM.Leave a comment:

Just getting back to looking at this one today. Does the presence of voltage at HV pin help in any way here?Leave a comment:

Re: VIZIO D60-F3 Wont Power ON, No Standby, No Picture, No Sound
That is strange that you do have more than enough VCC (14V, per spec sheet the Vstart is between 13.4 ~ 16.4V) for the IC to run, and once it is running the Vcc is supplied by the Aux winding of the transformer to keep it running.
But I also do not expect HV pin to be 0V since it is fed through resistor network so it should have Voltage at that pin.
Right now the IC is dead bu that VCC of 14V is coming from some where.
Normally at startup the HV provide the Vcc to startup the IC and once it is running the Vcc is provided by the Aux winding. Something is not making sense right now.
I would check the resistors connected to HV pin 1 to see if they are OK or not, also check the resistance between hot side circuit ground and IC pins.Leave a comment:

Re: VIZIO D60-F3 Wont Power ON, No Standby, No Picture, No Sound
TEA18363 spec.
Use negative leg of the main filter cap (450450VDC rated cap) as the ground ref. for the Hot side circuit, then report the VDC reading of each pin of the IC.
Be real careful since you are working in the hot deadly side of the circuit so do not touch anything with your body or your hands, at least plug this power supply board by itself into the GFCI outlet, no need to have any other boards connected to this power supply board, also do not let the meter probe slip on you.Leave a comment:

I was finally able to melt the glue or resin or whatever off the U1 IC. Here is a pic of the number and I will post a datasheet that I think belongs to it.Leave a comment:

I am not getting any voltage between those legs. Little jumpiness in the MV range but never gets to 1volt.Leave a comment:

I am curious, what DCV do you get on c205 if you measure the Voltage right between the two legs of the cap?Leave a comment:

by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi All,
Need help.
I have a samsung un60j620dafxza led tv. When I plug it in it has no display, no sounds, and no standby lights.
So I opened the tv and disconnected the power to the mainboard and the backlight powered up. This according to many people says that this is a mainboard
problem. I checked the voltage coming from the stb and I read 1.3 volts on pins 1,3,5 and 7 which are low volts instead of 13 volts which i think the lcd panel
might be drawing too much power from the power supply that it prevents the right voltage going to the mainboard.... -
by x_orange90_xI have a Vizio E550i-A0 that will not power on. It also does not display the standby light in the corner. I disconnected the main board cable to see if the backlights would light but they did not (maybe this is normal for this set?). I checked the voltages on the plug and they all read in mV or 0, so there's no voltage there. The fuses are ok, and the voltages of the 450v caps read about 160v. I see no visual damage on either the power supply or main board. I have read online that the main board is usually the culprit in this model, but not getting backlights with the main disconnected makes me...
