Re: VIZIO D60-F3 Wont Power ON, No Standby, No Picture, No Sound
I took out the C111 cap and the other one, put them on my ESR Meter. they are 22uf 50v and they are reading 0.6. SO I assume they are good.

Re: VIZIO D60-F3 Wont Power ON, No Standby, No Picture, No Sound
When you say both ways I suspect you mean both diodes, not the reading across on diode and then reversing the probes.
You could try replacing C111 and the cap near D3, without the ic's number it's hard to know if the voltages on it are ok. The vcc seems to be ok and the ic should be pulsing the Q1 mosfet which drives the transformer.
You could check if R13 is ok, it is likely a low ohm resistor, .3Ω ~ 1Ω
R13 is reading .3 I will see if I can get this thick resin off of the IC and try to get a #Leave a comment:

Re: VIZIO D60-F3 Wont Power ON, No Standby, No Picture, No Sound
The diode is just two diodes with common anode. just use diode test on the meter. On the top of the board it is marked like a fet but it isn't, so G & S are the anode and the D is the cathode. and it is likely a schottky diode so will read around 0.2xx or 0.3xx
As for the IC, you can use some alcohol to remove the resin, that sometimes works.Last edited by R_J; 10-31-2020, 05:07 PM.Leave a comment:

Whats the best way to test D201 for a short. Im sorry I dont think I have ever tested one of these. Great time to learn I guess.Leave a comment:

Damn I cant. I took like 10 pictures of it cant make it out. The poured resin over all the ICs and I think it absorbs some of the printing on there.Leave a comment:

D3 is 14v
I dont see a U1. is it one of the 3 U2, U102, and U402?Last edited by rebelkustoms; 10-31-2020, 02:44 PM.Leave a comment:

Re: VIZIO D60-F3 Wont Power ON, No Standby, No Picture, No Sound
Are you getting any voltage on the +16VS on plug CN201? What about the voltage on D3?
Can you read the number on U1?
The voltage on D106 is jumping around because the ic is likely operating in burst mode.Last edited by R_J; 10-31-2020, 02:32 PM.Leave a comment:

I checked these last night, I didnt take them out of circuit but they all are testing around .5.Leave a comment:

You have 170vdc across the main cap, now with negative meter probe on cap negative (M10), Check for voltage on R12, on the end sticking out from under the heatsink. If you have 170vdc on R12, (leave negative probe on M10) check the voltage on D106 cathode (white mark on diode)
Also check the voltage on D3 cathodeLeave a comment:

Have you checked the 4 diodes under the heatsink. D1, D2, D7 & D8. They appear to supply power to the set along with the bridge rectifier DB1Leave a comment:

I resoldered all 3 transformers, and all the mosfets with heat sinks on the board. still no luck on any of these fixes. i'm getting no stand by light or power to the main set of pins.Leave a comment:

Re: VIZIO D60-F3 Wont Power ON, No Standby, No Picture, No Sound
You probably already did, maybe check those 2 diodes D102, D106, D103, maybe heat up your electrolytic caps with a hairdryer and see if it wants to start up if it does, you probably have a bad cap or 2 or more, test power cord for continuity. Seems like the caps should be ok tho, they've only been out for 2 years.Leave a comment:

The residue just seems to be glue residue that seems to be all over the board. not specific to that area.Leave a comment:

There seems to be a residue of some sort around the large transformer in post #8 poking through the circuit board. Can you see where it has come from?Leave a comment:

by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi All,
Need help.
I have a samsung un60j620dafxza led tv. When I plug it in it has no display, no sounds, and no standby lights.
So I opened the tv and disconnected the power to the mainboard and the backlight powered up. This according to many people says that this is a mainboard
problem. I checked the voltage coming from the stb and I read 1.3 volts on pins 1,3,5 and 7 which are low volts instead of 13 volts which i think the lcd panel
might be drawing too much power from the power supply that it prevents the right voltage going to the mainboard.... -
by x_orange90_xI have a Vizio E550i-A0 that will not power on. It also does not display the standby light in the corner. I disconnected the main board cable to see if the backlights would light but they did not (maybe this is normal for this set?). I checked the voltages on the plug and they all read in mV or 0, so there's no voltage there. The fuses are ok, and the voltages of the 450v caps read about 160v. I see no visual damage on either the power supply or main board. I have read online that the main board is usually the culprit in this model, but not getting backlights with the main disconnected makes me...
