    HITACHI 55HK6T64U horizontal lines

    Good evening
Recently acquired this TV 2 small faint lines going horizontally across the screen and middle of the screen has a ghosting, jumping image
    Tested voltages 17ips20
    Low voltages for example 12v=11.4v
Tcon board fuse is 11.4v I also disconnected one ribbon at a time but nothing shows on the screen so straight away thought it could have been possible tcon fault luckily had a spare but still the same

    Thanks

Do you still get 11.4 with the panel unhooked from the tcon, both ribbons?

              Re: HITACHI 55HK6T64U horizontal lines

11.4v even with both ribbon cables disconnected I decided to strip the screen apart to see if theres anything visibly wrong and noticed the majority of the backlights are giving of a blue light instead of a white glow so I'm gathering the backlights are faulty and this is what's pulling down the low voltages
P.s I have tried the tcon ribbon tape trick with no luck what so ever

              Thanks

Yep need to replace all the backlights, then turn the backlight setting down as low as you can tolerate the display, some do a current mod with resistor/s, you likely saw all the posts here about blue backlights.

Hi, sorry for posting on an old thread but I have the same TV and sounds like same issue. I'd like to get this fixed rather than bin it. Did you ever resolve it please?

As stated by the person I collected the TV from, it just stopped working overnight. However, I still gave it a go to try and repair it.

There is a thread on the same TV but with slightly different issues where they had to tape connection points on the ribbon cable, so I want to see if this is repairable by any chance.

After bringing it home and plugging it in, the TV turned on with its backlight working but had no picture. After removing the back cover, the first thing I tried is to unplug one of the ribbon cables and the situation is as follows.

Sony XBR-65X750D Horizontal lines bottom of screen
                        by ggil44
Hi, I have a Sony XBR-65X750D that has horizontal lines at the bottom 6 inches of the screen. These lines appear to be every other line because the picture is still quite visible behind those lines. The lines appear all the time with a few other lines above and below the 6 inch level blinking on and off at about 2 second intervals. I'm not sure if this is a panel issue or power supply/main board problem. I did replace the T-Con board without any change in the problem. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

                        Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
                        by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

Samsung QE50Q60TAU - Horizontal screen lines
                        by Runlinc
Hi everyone, the tv was in a continuous reboot cycle. To get the best screen image i can I taped the VGH and VSS pins on the left side buffer board joining ribbon.

I am left with a good image apart from the black horizontal lines that I cannot get rid of.

I cannot find anything on the buffer boards that has shorted.

Do you think there is anything i can do to eliminate the lines, or are they caused by an internal panel short and the image cannot be impoved.

                        Many thanks for your assistance
