the picture of the TV with both cables inserted shows a brighter spot where the line originates, that gives it away, panel problem, also I think the last picture (full white) is the TV without any ribbons and the line is still there, but we haven't asked OP about that.

I will take more time with masking the lines. I am unfortunately not a super expert on repairs but I am willing to dig deep into problems and learn from each repair. I would like to know how to possibly identify which line is which signal... if that makes sense. I've been searching through the forum but can't really find this explained, wherever I look it was only a "guess and tape method".

Yes, but as from above, I tried random connection points without any luck, and the image only got worse... I will go back to it.

No, that is only a white image "video" (with both ribbons inserted) that I played through YouTube, in the hope to show you the image better on the white screen as the lines are a lot more visible on bright colour backgrounds

The clock lines that come from tcon to panel controls each one a subset of lines, some few lines are broken so you must choose from two, block all lines or the single start pulse that does the same, or finding the subset with the ones broken by blocking corresponding clock. Another way maybe is the drilling method thought by me but never experimented.. i never find such defect on tv on sale..

Re: Hitachi 58HK6100U - Horizontal Lines (Bottom third of the screen)

Finally found some time to get back to this TV and after a few hours, I decided to stop and leave it to the point where I could not get the image any better.

I used the taping method and pins 1,2 and 10 had to be taped to get the best possible picture on the TV.

While watching the video you could not say there is anything wrong with it but as could be seen in the last (red) image, the left side of the screen lost its rich colours and they are now blurry.

If you guys have any additional advices of possible solutions to get the image even better, I might get back to it when I get more time.

I just want to thank you for all your advice and whoever tried to help me.

Can you find out the signal names that you blocked? In particular, check if it's VGH.

Sony XBR-65X750D Horizontal lines bottom of screen
                  by ggil44
Hi, I have a Sony XBR-65X750D that has horizontal lines at the bottom 6 inches of the screen. These lines appear to be every other line because the picture is still quite visible behind those lines. The lines appear all the time with a few other lines above and below the 6 inch level blinking on and off at about 2 second intervals. I'm not sure if this is a panel issue or power supply/main board problem. I did replace the T-Con board without any change in the problem. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
                  by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
                  • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
                  • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

                  Samsung UN46C8000XFXZA Horizontal lines
                  by x_orange90_x
I just acquired this 3D LED yesterday and it has horizontal lines on a little more than half of the screen. When I first turn it on it has thin black lines going across that makes the image look serrated, and then shortly after patterns of thicker red lines fade in. If I turn it off and right back on it will reset to just the black lines and the red will again fade onto the screen.

I initially thought tab bonds, but flexing the bezel makes no difference, and the fact the image sort of resets after cycling power is different. I haven't opened it up yet to actually test applying...

                  Samsung QE50Q67TAU - horizontal lines

                  Hello,

First of all I'm new here. While looking I found this amazing forum and I'm very happy I did. Now for my problem:

I picked up a Samsung UHD QLED QE50Q67TAU from 2021 for $50 knowing it was defective. The seller said it had black lines and that it could get stuck in boot randomly.

I've tried a new power cable, hard reset, opening up and jiggling all cables, pressing everywhere to see if I get a reaction but I've gotten nothing. I've tried the tape method but I've only managed to get the lines worse.

I'm no expert but I've done the tape...

Physically bending the T-Con board creates horizontal dotted lines on OLED55CXPUA
                  by fredtred
                  Hello!
I have been trying to solve this issue the past 12 months to no avail. I have been a lurker here during that time but finally decided to post my problem and see if anybody knows a solution.

                  Problem
My tv (OLED55CXPUA) has an issue where it displays horizonal lines of dotted artifacts.

                  (See Attachment 1)

                  Self Diagnosing
After a very long troubleshooting period I traced the issue to the T-Con board. If I gently flexed/bend the board I could make the display go from GOOD to BAD and vice versa. I have ruled out the connectors/wires...
