If TV is upright TV runs for 14 minutes then turns off. At this point it tries to come back on every 5 seconds. At the 1 minute mark it came on for 14 minutes again and keeps repeating this process. When I place the TV face down with the back removed it runs fine. I've had the TV on this way for over 2 hours with no power cycling. Both the power supply and main board have been replaced. Any help please.

Try tapping on the boards with wooden stick or plastic stick while TV is facing down, also try moving the cables around to see what happen. Also did you try post #2?Last edited by budm; 06-30-2020, 03:19 PM.Never stop learning

Re: Sharp Aquos Quattron LC-52LE810UN odd issue
Check all solder joints on powerboard, look closely at the joints of components on heatsinks and transformers as they take the most abuse, sometimes a joint looks good but can be bad or loose, some will actually wiggle when loose/bad.Comment

LOL, baking the powerboard would be a first that I've heard of, they bake mainboards to reconnect solder of bga chips but don't always work or last very long, that's IF the board keeps overheating, some have used a fan solution after baking with a lot of success.Last edited by nomoresonys; 06-30-2020, 04:08 PM.Comment

With the screen face down turn it on with mainboard unscrewed in upright pos. then bent it gently, if it stop working a reballing is needed, if its not the mainboard try the PSU. using gloves or better a wood spoon.Last edited by Davi.p; 07-02-2020, 05:08 PM.Comment

Hello everyone,
I recently got a model Sharp TV, and I've noticed that the green power LED is flashing without any specific pattern. Additionally, there appears to be no voltage coming from the power board. I haven't observed any leaking or bulging capacitors, although the top of the larger capacitor doesn't seem to be perfectly flush with the jacket—if that makes sense.
Has anyone dealt with this issue before? -
by sefosterI have a Sharp Aquos LC-80LE757U that randomly made a loud popping noise when when watching TV one day. We found that the fuse blew and the thermistor. We ended up replacing the entire power supply board and have also replaced the TCON board. Now as soon as I plug the TV in it lights up and has the Sharp logo flashing on and off of the screen. If I unplug the ribbon cable from the TCON board to the main board I get the 2 long 5 short error code. Any ideas on where to go from here? We've tried resetting it but nothing has worked. If we plug it in and let it cycle through the flashing of the Sharp...

by scubacamperI found another post on this site the other day which has been very helpful in troubleshooting this issue I am having with my tv. The left half of the screen is dark, and the other half is VERY slow to generate it's image - and it only generates part of its image at that.
Based on this yt video, I have narrowed it down to an issue (short?) on the left side of the display, somewhere in the system of ribbon cables.
when I remove the bezel and the rear cover, I can get the image to display correctly by manipulating the ribbon cables on the left side which connects the left lower display... -
by leoriversHello,
I bought Sharp LC-47SB57UT 6 years ago. I had to have a vhf antenna to pick up one local station(koco channel 5 OKC). It has worked great up until a week ago. Sometimes I couldn't get channel 5, now I can't receive it at all. I can hook up a digital convertor box I have from another tv and can receive channel 5.
I think the antenna and cable is ok. I doubt that this would be the tuner board or possibly something else.
Any ideas where I should start?10-24-2024, 03:11 AM -
