    Vizio E3D470VX with burnt P/S board

    Got a Vizio E3D470VX. Issue is when power is on, no video. I did a flashlight test and I can see an setup menu in there. I did not connect it to a video/audio source to see if it would play. Do I need to do that?

    Took off the back cover and found the P/S board burnt. Looks like its beyond repair since it got some of the traces on the back.

    Next step was to try and find a replacement board (#500-405-1290). ShopJimmy doesnt have one in stock. The ones that they list as an alternate replacement does not look like mine.

    Any advise to find a suitable replacement or alternative board.

          Those sub boards should work, shop jimmy usually gets it right, even tho they may look a little different.

                  I saw that one on ebay (from ablemantvflatpanelparts), but it just looks totally different. Here is what mine looks like (see attached). I just saw your second post. Going for the "Best offer" option.

                  Found this one too.

                  The video board looks good. Its pretty obvious that the P/S board is toast, but is there anyway to be confident that this is all thats wrong? I dont know any history on this set.

                      They re-design and revise them, it's on the sub list, I would trust it to be a match. The one you found has the same number as yours, looks good, 42 bucks depends on the shipping I guess.

                          I sent an offer. Will see what they come back with.

                          Do I need to put the board back in and connect it to a source? Maybe see if it has audio or maybe video? I know I will have to use a flashlight to see anything.

                              I don't know if I would trust that burnt board not to damage other boards or things??

                                  You can see the menu, that's a good sign that the mainboard is working, a good powerboard might be all you need, fingers crossed.

                                      FYI.... Got the board installed. Worked perfectly. Great Picture. Not bad for something I picked-up sitting on side of the road.

                                              I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

                                              Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

                                              I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

                                              The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

                                              With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                              i have a 2020 macbook pro 13" A2251 with 820-09149 logic board so i found an issue with chip labeled U6903 according to schem. boardview using flexBV software, so i removed it from the board and the issue im having is that the chip says "07A08FI ELC180​" on top of it but when searching for a replacement chip, i can find tons of identical looking chips that also have "ELC180" printed on them but the first set of digits is never the same so im trying to find out if i need this exact chip with these same numbers as mine and if not which ones are compatible as a replacement?...

                                              hello everyone,

                                              I don't normally do tv repairs but this is a case with my personal TV which got fried together with many other electronics in my house after a thunderstorm.

                                              The TV is a Philips 65PUS8518/12 which had no power. I measured and concluded that the main board was probably fried through ethernet or hdmi. I found a board with same number 715GD328-M0F-B00-005Y (I had G) but from a 55PUS8518. The TV starts but the image is doubled, distorted. I need to set the panel code which is 016 according to the sticker on the back but I can not seem to do it.

                                              Hello my friends!
                                              I have a question that I think you can answer and help me with!

                                              I have a faulty main board from an led TV. And I found the same part number board and design but is from a 43" TV and I want to use it on a 65". On its stickers , all are the same except the wattage for the LEDs backlight, both state different watts and LED Voltages!

                                              So I presume that the backlight inverter section from the replacement board has lower wattage then the original one, am I right?

                                              My concern is that the board won't draw enough voltage to the bac...
