    Top screen color fading

Hi guys this is a TV that is at my friend's house he needs help repairing I told him I'd ask if it's even worth fixing. I will have all specs tomorrow but could this be panel issues and unfixable. Any thought?

It looks like it could be edge lit with the top edge not being illuminated.

I will get more info on this TV tomorrow, if it is what you are saying. Most likely it will be salvageable?

Yes, either by replacing the individual dead LED(s) or the whole strip.

How new is that TV? Looks like later-2010s to me, and if it is, 99 percent, it's shit LEDs! Or LEDs with shit mounting!

            This is a UN75F6300
            Version UH02
            2013.

I found a few posts on this actual TV but they never seemed to get to the bottom of the issue. So I did test the LED capacitors and I got 336 in the lower capacitor and fluctuation between 533v-561v on each of the top three capacitors. Now I'm assuming I'd have to open the whole TV up anyway to check on the LEDs?

If you check the dc voltage across the two legs of each of those capacitors it cannot measure more than 400V, the rating of each capacitor, otherwise the capacitors would explode.

I can't quite read the print on the circuit board photo but it looks like the led drive voltage is 237V @ 250mA

Shopjimmy do a repair kit for this board which may give you an idea of what to check out.

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
                      by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

iphone XS turns off when press on screen.
                      by smic717394
                      Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...

                      Samsung UE55JU6800K half screen dark
                      by Chrissygizmo
Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...

                      by KYBOSH
                      Picked this up to resurrect.
When I plugged it in it comes on for about 1 minute... after a minute the screen blacks out and I gets blinking red lights on the power button.
I read that a common issue with this model is a failed BGA so I ordered a replacement on eBay.

Sometimes the TV would produce an expanding blob on the screen before going black.
                      See Video here

I ordered a replacement board off of eBay and installed it tonight and got the same behavior.

Did I get another defective board or is there an issue with...

Vizio TV M50-C1 reboot cycle and static on screen
                      by spice_disc
I'm currently trying to diagnose and fix my Vizio TV (Model M50-C1). I've tried a number of different basic solutions, but I'm trying to determine if my issue is currently a failing panel, T-Con board, or main board (or something else entirely) and whether or not it is worth my time to fix it. Details of the issue and what I've tried are below as well as why I think it is either a bad panel, T-Con board, or main board.

The Issue: The TV will be on and working fine but after the TV is on for ~5-10 minutes the screen will freeze (with sound continuing) until the TV reboots itself. While...
