With tv unplugged from power, unhook cable from powerboard to mainboard, plug tv into power, see if backlight comes on and stays on.

Bk= 0.1v. Bad, there is no BL-ON from main board to turn on backlights circuit.
Adj= 0v. Bad, there is no Dimming control control signal from main board.

Try heating with hair dryer and cooling (use canned airduster upside down) the main board to see what will happen.

Looks like the TV is actually running, just no backlights...

BLon is generated on the main IC on the main board. :-(
You could try to unhook the BLon at the PSU, and jump STBY or PSon to it via a 1k or so resistor. Just make sure you don't backfeed power. I'd either cut the BLon wire or take the wire with the pin out of the connector.

Probably need to use a resistor on each pin ps-on and BK and maybe ADJ too, going to 5v standby, so 3 resistors, one going from each of those pins to 5v stndby. That might bring backlights on to verify backlights and powerboard.

But most of the time when those voltages are low or missing it's just a faulty mainboard as mentioned.

Did you disconnect the BL-ON wire before jumping it? I hope you did otherwise you will damage the main board, which at this point it already has problems.

Jumping all 3 to stby worked for backlights. So guess need find main board unless possible to trace where issue on main is.

Well, there are too many main boards. You have to look after an CV838H-B from a 55 inch tv. I could cut it down to 6 different main boards. Anyway, maybe take the main board out and see if there is a sticker on the back of it.

I repaired the backlights on this model (symptom flash of backlights, repaired seven bad, part#3P55TA004-A2 new strips available at Shopjimmy) and now the TV is stuck on the home screen. I can only turn the TV on with the remote and no buttons work once booted on the home screen. Only the TV buttons volume -/+ and on/off work. There is no physical menu or input buttons.

I think a factory reset will clear it but not a lot of options. Tried the Sony Android methods of holding down the on/off button while plugging it it and holding down vol- with power on/off....

Lenovo L480 NM-B461: strange power delivery response

I have a L480 board with a working USB-C port and a non-working docking port that only runs on 5V. I have replaced the TB-Bios but to no avail. Both ports show 0,6V in diode mode. My Kingst Logic Analyzer showed the following strange response.

The charger offers correctly 4 voltages:

Ok, so I know I know, it's a Westinghouse....lol It's got the backlights but no video. Likely the panel, but I'd like to take some measurements on the buffer board with help from you experts to confirm. See the attached pictures. In pic #1, there's a nice pin reference to use to take some measurements. The large IC in pic #7 gets up to 60degC when the TV is on.

So, backlights, no video, go! 🙂...

Westinghouse TV WD48FAB100 Not Powering On – Burn Mark Found on Power Supply
                                          by Seville
                                          Hello all!

Westinghouse TV WD48FAB100 Not Powering On – Burn Mark Found on Power Supply .

I have a Westinghouse LED TV, model WD48FAB100 that is not powering on. Upon removing the back cover, I noticed a burn mark where the AC cord connects to the power supply/main board. In this model, there is only one board combining the two functions. Previous owner said the TV experienced a lightening strike, but who knows. I checked the main fuse, tested OK. Here are a collection of readings from the power supply ports. Looking for some guidance on what to test/check next....
