Fail in LED Output of Power Supply in LG 42LB5600

Hi, I have LG 42LB5600 TV. When I power on without LED Strip, LED+ and LED- Voltage changing around 0 to 48 V just a few second but after about 4 sec it fixed to zero. I chassis LED- route and see 114 v diff in Drain of Q803 and LED+.
I test Q803 Transistor and it seems OK. The Gate Voltage is Zero and the transistor is off. I Check D803 and every part to BD9486F (IC801) but the Dimout Pin has 0V. I cant find problem. Can anyone help me?

Please report LED connector (connector in place) pin Voltage with ref to chassis GND.
When making the measurement you need to leave the meter's probes in place then turn the TV on to see how high it jumps up to and then wait 10 seconds to see how low it goes down to.
BTW, DRV-ON (BL-ON) control signal (>2.5VDC) is present when the TV is turned on, correct?
You can also see the LED Voltage chart that shows the loaded Voltage.
We also need to see the picture that shows how may wires there are on that LED connector.

      V(LED-)-V(GND)(Maximum in t=0~10s)= 0.2V

      V(LED+)-V(GND)(Maximum in t=0~10s)= 288V

      V(LED-)-V(GND)(t>10s)= 0.1V

      V(LED+)-V(GND)(t>10s)= 120V

      V(DRV-ON)-V(GND)=3.47V

Voltage of output must be 208V,235mA.

You have an open led string. The voltage goes high because there is no load (open led string) the circuit detects the open circuit and turns the boosted voltage off so it drops to 120v

LEDs' are driven by constant current source. You can modify the circuit by changing the value of the currents sensing resistor or look up spec. sheet of the LED driver IC to see if it has pin for current level setting to reduce the current or you can turn down the backlights level to about 50%

Not a difficult procedure, just need to locate the proper resistor/s to change out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogtfojsIZK8

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Onkyo HT-R390 no sound output, video output ok
                  by FrancescoV
                  Good morning everyone,
I'm trying to repair an onkyo ht-r390 that has no sound output, despite the volume being at maximum, the rest seems to work; the video output signal (coming from an hdmi input) is present, but the audio is absent. Similar situation if I send an audio signal from any input I have no output.

The firmware reported is the following:
                  M:1.00/11107BLP
                  D:?.??/????????
                  O:1.00/11107AL

The DSP firmware given the question marks seems corrupt.

On the BCHDM-0678 - 25140678 - QPWBCHDM0678A0 board the chip that usually seems...

When the set came in it was dead. Fuse was open primary side and the power mosfet was shorted. So I ordered a new power supply. Now it turns on, only displays "Hitachi" and then power off red and blue led flashing.

I had to modify the 0ohm resistors in the led backlight of the new PS like the original power supply.
Is there any variants on 17IPS71 power supply's?

Modification to a ZD-987 desoldering/soldering station using a external switching power supply
                  by sam_sam_sam
I have been working on this concept for quite some time now with limited success but recently I found a switching power supply that is setup for the voltage that this soldering station needs to operate at however it also needs part of the secondary circuit from the original switching power because you need several voltage rails

I once tried to get a ZD-915 desoldering station to work on a 18 volt battery power supply but unfortunately things did not go well but I did find a work around but I might try this idea again but going at a little differently more about this another time...
