    Vizio M55-C2 Mainboard Issues

I got this tv in a wholesale lot and I'm trying to repair it for resell. I noticed on the original main board that the component at location L9001 was burnt. So, I ordered a replacement board, installed it, powered on the tv and the same component blew. Can someone tell me what component would be at location L9001 (please see pictures) and if it might be possible to replace it since it's burnt so bad. Also, has anyone had this same issue with this model tv? Could the power supply be causing this or could it be the t-con or maybe the screen itself? Any help will be greatly appreciated. I don't know whether to trash this tv and take my loss or attempt to repair it. Thanks in advance.

    L stands for inductor.

Thanks for your quick reply. Do you know of a way to find the part number of that inductor? Do you think it's possible to attempt to install another inductor as bad as the board is burnt? And, do you have an opinion as to what could be causing this inductor to keep blowing? Thanks.

Not sure, wonder if the power supply has a problem, as you said you tried a new mainboard and it popped the same inductor, some of the pros here may know.

you might want to post a picture of the back to show how things are connected. Of course, you might want to check what the inductor was connected to in the cabling, if it is and then follow that to the other end.

Here's a couple more pictures, one of the back and one at an angle showing the connectors.
I can't find a schematic of this board to determine which inductor I would need to order.

That inductor burns out can be due to 1) short circuit on the input side (Source) of the P-CH MOSFET (4435) Q9000 which supplies switched 12V to run the T-CON board. 2) Short Circuit on the output side (Drain) due to shorted caps, or shorted T-CON.
Bottom line, look for very low Ohm readings on the input and output side of the MOSFET first.

Vizio M43-C1 - How closely do I need to match the mainboard number?
                  by Devonavar
I have a Vizio M43-C1 stuck in a reboot loop with no backlight.

I've tested all the voltage rails coming out of the power supply and they are "normal" for this model (PS_ON & DIM go high when turned on, BL_ON & 3D_ON are close to zero due to backlight power flowing through the mainboard, 5VSB is 5V, and 12V is 19V, which is apparently normal for this board).

Basically, I get similar results to Garry in this post: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=80346

So, I've ruled out the PSU for now.

                  The reboot loop...

IH all, Got this vizio tv P65-E1 from FB marketplace hoping to be able to reflow mainboard as selerrstated that it was diagnosed with bad mainboard. However they must have tried to repair tv by putting another board in and they put P55 board in .
Tv starts and responds to remote but screen does not look right , It looks like low resolution with some image ghosting. Now not having original board I dont know what to order ? Any advice how to figure out what exact board fits this tv ?
And another question Would it be possible to adopt this board to this tiv by chagning eeprom or tcon...

                  by electomech-fixer
                  Hi all,
I came across this very active forum with knowledgeable folks on electronic circuits and components, while google searching for the details of my burnt IC marked 7603 in Intel NUC board. I joined this forum today and this is my first post here.
I recently got an Intel NUC 10i5 and had installed Linux Mint and was using it for about a month when it died suddenly and did not power up after that.(Power Adaptor is ok). When I opened the NUC , there was a burnt IC marked 7603 (and ILCB in second line). I am unable to find the details/datasheet of this IC. I will be grateful if...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                  by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                  Assuming...

Toshiba 49U7763DB (Mainboard: Vestel 17MB120) firmware issues after sporadic power cu
                  by cheeky2
I have this Toshiba 49U7763DB Tv which was suffering issues after various electrical power cuts, which happened in quick succession
Originally the TV was powering on and then very shortly powering off. I managed to get into the menu structure before powering off and carry out a first time installation of the TV. Which didn't make much difference. I have managed to factory reset (that didn't make any difference either).
The firmware inside the 17MB120 is corrupted and is causing some strange issues so my question is does anyone have any suitable firmware for this model?
