Much confusion over one Panasonic TCP50S2 board

    Hello,

Hoping there is still someone around that works on Plasma's and knows specifics about the 50S2... I bought one used with issues and want to replace the A board. Service manual says board model number is TXN/A1LQUUS. So, I look around and find a used pull from a working set(came from a TCP50C2 but said it was compatible). I get it home and the board is identical..., except for the ribbon cable mount. To of the three are a different size. My S2 are wider than the board I received. After looking on the internet, other companies are selling the same thing.

What gives? If i can attach a picture of my board I will but would anyone know the issue here? Did they make two different boards for the same model year? Thanks in advance for any help!

It is likely the board would work "electronically" but the cables are different, Your model has the connectors mounted on the other positions that are available when it was manufactured to be used with a different main and cables
So main board and ribbons would also need to be replaced

      Hey GLE3
On a side note, I too bought a used a board from tvpartstoday, last week, for my Panasonic plasma tv, Tc-p50s30. They sent me a board with the tuner jack ripped out! IMHO, I don't trust them. Luckily I went through eBay so if tvpartstoday won't refund my money, eBay is supposed to. I'm waiting for refund.

There is a TNPAXXXX number that your board would carry. That is the number you are to match. Ask for a refund and get another board from a different supplier. Once you tamper with the board they will not give you a refund.

Thanks for the heads up on tvpartstoday, their reviews are limited out on Google.

In my case would that be a TNPHXXXX number? From what I can tell they are the same....

'TNPHXXXX' number is the Blank PCB (Printed Circuit Board) P/N not the PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) P/N.
Blank board can be stuffed in many ways to make a bunch of different PCBA's as you can see from the board that you bought which uses the same blank board but it is stuffed with parts for other TV model..
