Re: Samsung Distorted Screen
They would need to be replaced whether they are or not and they are cheap enough. Replace with high temperature, low ESR capacitors.
I would also check all the solder joints on the board and make sure they are good.Willing to help but I'm no expert.Comment

Re: Samsung Distorted Screen
Ok sounds good. Do you believe all the dots could be caused by the capacitors swelling?Comment

Re: Samsung Distorted Screen
Clean all that dust off, too. That looks like X-Board issue to me. That's the board on the right side looking from the back.Comment

Re: Samsung Distorted Screen
Yes I have taken care of the dust now. I have two caps swollen (not on the X Board). I am going to replace the caps and then look into the X board. Anything in particular on the x that I should be looking for?Last edited by fire84rescue; 11-02-2017, 10:11 AM.Comment

Re: Samsung Distorted Screen
Basically cold solder joints, and measure the ESR on the e-caps on the X-Main and Y-main Bds. Measure the Vs, Va Ve, Vsc and Vy voltages and make sure they are in line with the voltages on the label.Last edited by Andrew F. Ali; 11-02-2017, 11:30 AM.Comment

Re: Samsung Distorted Screen
I have found "working" X boards on Ebay really cheap. Y boards, not so much. I may just order an X board and go from there. I have been picking up so much time at work it is becoming hard to get to what I need to do at home. I have found a few x boards under $20, so that wont be much of a loss if that doesn't fix the issue.Comment

Re: Samsung Distorted Screen
Well, replaced the caps and screen is still jacked. May have to just order an x board anyway...Comment

Re: Samsung Distorted Screen
Ok this is an LCD tv. Does not use an x board. X board is in a plasma tv. This honestly looks like an issue withh the eeprom on the mainboard.
Mute 1-8-2 power. Do this on thhe remote with the tv off. Look in service menu for lvds settings. Possibly someone got into menus and messed with it? Lvds bit rate possibly.
Btw I see your in Deleware. Did you feel that earthquake?Last edited by freakaftr8; 11-30-2017, 11:14 PM.Did I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

Re: Samsung Distorted Screen
Oh stupid me .lol I thought it said LNT.
For.some reason I'm not able to view pictures lately.
But I would suspect something going on with y sustain. Have you measured all voltages yet? What's your VSCAN reading?Last edited by freakaftr8; 11-30-2017, 11:27 PM.Did I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

by ChrissygizmoHello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same... -
by ChrissygizmoHi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...
The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...05-26-2024, 12:05 AM -

I've got a Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN with a problem and need some advice and I hope this is the forum to use?
I'm from Norway so I'd like to apology in advance if my description of the fault is kind of simple or the names on the components are way off. 😊
the TV is powering up, working as normally and picture is all good, except a 1.5-inch-wide vertical line of snow/static across the screen.
This TV is a Signage Display/Public Display version and it's been used at my work for 4-5 years showing commercials 24/7. The fault occurred when... -

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... -
Have a Samsung UN50NU7400 which shows a boot screen and a screen saver if left on long enough but no picture ?
Would a moving screen saver confirm that the panel is ok or it could still be a panel issue ? - Loading...
