    Haier hl40xp1. Very bright. T-con board? t400hw01 v4

    Was just giving this tv. Haier hl40xp1 when it's on it is very bright. I can see what's on, Just really bright. I'm thinking it the t-con board. I fixed one years ago but I don't remember what the pin pads on the t-con board are suppose to be.
    Low to high I believe, but I'm getting 1.1v , 1.4v and 1.5v from just about all the pins. T-con board T400hw01 v4
    They need to gradually climb up in voltage right?
    But anyways does it sound like it's the t-con board anyways???m

          list your vgma voltages.

          does sound like the as15 chip though.

          couple of pics would not go astray either.
          WHY CAN'T PHILIPS USE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS?

                      Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort.                       I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel.                       Hello everyone,

                      I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the...

                      Hi,
                      i have a 65 Panasonic TX-65HX710E using vestel 17MB170 main and Lg tcon.

                      Few drops of water fell probably near COF and have no display. Tried removing tabs but no.part of display present as if tcon fuse open. However 12v is present and tcon can be felt warm enough that supplies are present. Backlight and sound ok.

                      Anyone knows if this TCon 6870c-0805A has any special test pins for rgb test?

                      Appreciate your help....

                      Hi Guys.
                      I have experienced something rather unique and need to find out by the forum what to make of it.
                      I got in this set, a JVC or Telefunken LED TV whose complaint is that sometimes the set comes up blank with the back lights running. So I switched on and yes there was a blank screen and back lights were running. I checked the fuse on the TCON and sometime later I lifted the set off the table to check the image (the TV has no feet to let it stand upright) and noticed the set was cycling red, green blue, test pattern, blank then all over again doing this.
