Hey Everyone
I have colored vertical lines on my LCD Vizio-oh. The sticker on the TV says 2009... They seem to alternate colors and brightness, they move on the screen, not just fixed in one spot. All inputs have the same symptoms. Sound is fine.
About 6 months ago the screen got a bit darker, so I turned up the brightness. It worked fine till recently.
The vertical lines showed up. Few days ago it would work for an hour then the lines appeared. The next day I turned on the TV the lines showed up right away, but after 15 min or so they were gone and TV worked for the evening. Next day lines are here to stay. I had the TV on for about an hour, no changes.
I did a visual CAP check on power and logic board, none are popped or leaking...
I pulled the connectors for the T-CON board. When I pull one connector from T-CON the corresponding side of the screen goes blank, vise versa for the other connector. When I pull the connector feeding the T-Con the whole screen does blank...
I tried the compressed air over the T-Con, to cool it. I did not invert the compressed air can to have the freezing white stuff hit the board. I am not sure what part I need to spay???
I checked the T-Con fuse continuity is good.
Should I be checking the voltage on the T-Con somewhere??
Would a factory reset help?
I would really appreciate all the help!!!
Thank you very much
Gene
