Re: Samsung un58tu7000fxza - Power cycles with no picture, only backlight
I was thinking it's most likely a bad panel as well, but wanted some confirmation before I scrap it. I checked all the caps on the “driver boards” on mine and didn't see any issues there. The tape trick, blocking some of the pins on the ribbon cable did keep the TV on, but I never could get any image to display (menu, etc..), although I did hear the audio tone when selecting menu, etc.. from the remote. The best I got on the screen were a few lines of different colors. That was slowly testing...

Re: Samsung un58tu7000fxza - Power cycles with no picture, only backlight
Sorry for the delay. I usually get notifications on comments / replies, but I didn't receive any for this post (unless it happened to go to my spam folder).
Here are some pictures of the TV. Let me know if you need more up close pictures. Thanks for your help!...

Re: Vizio E70-E3 Two white vertical lines
Received the other replacement main board in. That DID FIX the video and loading issue. Now I can’t get any of the quick launch buttons to respond on the remote (netflix, hulu, etc..). That’s my next issue to tackle. Hoping a SW firmware load will fix it.

Re: Vizio E70-E3 Two white vertical lines
Received replacement main board in today and found out it’s not the correct board. Already purchased another board from a different eBay seller. Once it comes in, hopefully it will work out.

Samsung un58tu7000fxza - Power cycles with no picture, only backlight
I have a Samsung un58tu7000fxza that powers on (no image, only backlight) but keeps restarting. When it starts up, the backlights seem to be full brightness for 1 sec., off for 1 sec., on again with much lower brightness for 4 sec., full brightness 1 sec., off 6 sec., then repeats. I noticed when the backlights are off, I don’t see the red optical audio port lit, meaning the main board is power cycling. The T-Con must be integrated in this model, because there’s not a separate board. There’s a power board, main board, and driver boards (if that’s what these are called)...Last edited by brad2157; 12-15-2021, 11:43 PM.

That's what I was thinking, but I wanted to make sure before I return the main board. Thanks for your help!...

Re: Vizio E70-E3 Two white vertical lines
Yes, that's correct. The original board does not show any lines when the Vizio logo comes up, it just won't boot....

Re: Vizio E70-E3 Two white vertical lines
I did put the original main board back in and there are no lines on the screen. It just won't actually “boot up” with the original board in. The seller says that because the original board wouldn't come up, it's possible the t-con is bad since it has the white lines with the replacement board that does boot up. I thought otherwise, but I'm also new to this. I think I'll send the board back and try to find another board OR try to see if I can locate what caused the original board to go bad.
Thank you for...

Vizio E70-E3 Two white vertical lines
I picked up a Vizio E70-E3 for free that shows Vizio logo and then goes to a black screen. Original owner said he started having wifi issues and then he tried to reset the TV and that's when it wouldn't boot up any longer after his reset attempt. I picked up a replacement main board from eBay that matches the same model # board as the original from the TV.
Original main board - Shows Vizio logo when TV powers on, then goes to black screen. Doesn't boot up. No screen issues with any lines on start up Vizio logo.
Replacement main board - Boots up fine, but starting...Last edited by brad2157; 12-13-2021, 05:44 PM.

Re: Sony KD-65X750F - no lights/picture/sound
Thank you for all the input on this! I went ahead and bought a used main board to see if that fixes the issue. I'll report back once I get it in and installed. I may be able to further isolate checking between the good and bad boards....

Re: Sony KD-65X750F - no lights/picture/sound
Inductor voltages on main board:
Measurements between inductor @ ground
2R2 = 3.34 VDC (above Sony BCX printed on board)
1RO = 1.04 VDC (to left of processor / white cover)
2R2 = 5.16 VDC (top right-hand side of board above HDMI connectors)
There is no red light on optical port to the left of the HDMI ports at any time....

Re: Sony KD-65X750F - no lights/picture/sound
I apologize for not including any pictures on my initial post.
Here are some pictures of the power and main boards. I took three pictures of the main board, one complete picture and two half pictures, so I could get better up close views....

Sony KD-65X750F - no lights/picture/sound
I searched the forum first, but could not locate anything with this model Sony TV.
Sony KD-65X750F
There's good AC power going into power supply board. There is no standby light lit on the TV / no picture / no sound using either remote control OR power button on TV. I'm new at troubleshooting TV's, so here are the measurements I took. I am leaning toward thinking it's a main board issue, but wanted to see what others with experience thought. Anything I can go further test to help isolate the issue?
