I know it very well may not be the T-Con board, but if I want to buy one.
On shopjimmy.com the one has the same part number as mine but has less components on the board, will that board still work in my TV?
My partial p/n on back is 1579A, so the part I am looking for is 6871L-1579A?

I retested DCV for fun:
VDD=16.13
VCOM=7.48
VGH=13.05
VGL=7.45
VCC=3.299
VCC1.8=1.799
TV is still shutting down by it self every 37sec...Leave a comment:

Well, now its shutting down again every 36sec. while laying flat on its face... I know small home heaters have a shut off built in but do TVs have something like that also?Leave a comment:

Well, I know you didn't ask for VDD, but I wanted to measure it for sugar & giggles. Few seconds after testing VDD the TV turned off by it self... I was testing it screen down on the floor... It turned off about 3 more times, ON for only 35sec at a time. Then I stood the TV upright and now its working fine...
I tested the VDD again, but the TV is not shutting down anymore.
VDD=16.17
VCOM=7.48
VGH=initially 12.67 went up to 13.30 and stayed there (are these values depended on whats playing on the screen?)...Leave a comment:

Oops, I had the TV plugged in, but turned OFF.
Ribbon cable disconnected; side of screen completely white.

Should I be disconnecting the ribbon cables while TV is on or off?
I disconnected them while TV off, and the side for corresponding side goes blank.

Gotcha, thanks, I see the U1 now.
I tried cooling a bit, didn't make any difference. How long should I be cooling it for? I even inverted the can of compressed air to get the liquid hit it. Should I just take the whole thing outside it out side, its -22*C?Leave a comment:

I see U2. Do you mean the large chip in the middle? UC1?
The T-Con board has a blue LED on it. The LED turns on as soon as the TV is turned on, after approx 10 seconds the blue light turns off.

Hey Everyone
I have colored vertical lines on my LCD Vizio-oh. The sticker on the TV says 2009... They seem to alternate colors and brightness, they move on the screen, not just fixed in one spot. All inputs have the same symptoms. Sound is fine.
About 6 months ago the screen got a bit darker, so I turned up the brightness. It worked fine till recently.
The vertical lines showed up. Few days ago it would work for an hour then the lines appeared. The next day I turned on the TV the lines showed up right away, but after 15 min or so they were gone and TV...
