    Standby light only LG LG42LB5500

Picked this unit up cheap and thought it would be an easy repair, (Panel looks fine and undamaged) unsure of history only going on the words of the seller. Seller says he had a power cut and the TV never came out of standby after that.
So, the TV powers onto standby only and will go no further my first thoughts the Mainboard has become corrupt, just wondering if anyone has any advice to throw out there. Will add better pics ASAP, but the Mainboard, PSU and Panel numbers are as follows:

    MB
    MZM4526-64029 MT EBT62973012
    LD44B EAX65361503 (1.0)

    DISPLAY
    LC420DUE (FG)(A6)

    PSU
    EAX65423701 (2.0)
    LGP3942-14PL1

    Thanks in advance.

maybe you can dissconnect the mainboard and test the voltages are all there ie 12v and 24v etc that way it will rule out a bad psu

You have a Main Bd issue......Replace the Main Bd.....that will solve your problem.

When plugged in and checked output from psu I only get the 3.5v, no 12v or 24v

It might require you to force it on normally they dont on these Lg Leds, do what Vince says.

if there is no PS-ON signal from the main board to turn on the power supply/LED driver board then there will be no switched 12V/24V.

Hi budm I've shorted the PWR-ON to 3.5v rail on the connecter of the PSU and the PSU gave me the 12v and 24v. I'm thinking mainboard issue.??

                    Thanks

If you can force on the power supply then the power supply is OK.
You should report the DCV reading of the pins of the connector of the power supply board that goes to the main board, make sure to give the pin names and floow by the DCV reading so we can see what are missing.

                                          Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power...

                                          Hi All,

                                          Need help.

I have a samsung un60j620dafxza led tv. When I plug it in it has no display, no sounds, and no standby lights.

So I opened the tv and disconnected the power to the mainboard and the backlight powered up. This according to many people says that this is a mainboard
problem. I checked the voltage coming from the stb and I read 1.3 volts on pins 1,3,5 and 7 which are low volts instead of 13 volts which i think the lcd panel
might be drawing too much power from the power supply that it prevents the right voltage going to the mainboard....

                                          Hi everyone,
I'm trying to troubleshoot and repair this old LG OLED curved TV, model 55EG910V.
I did some basic troubleshooting and reviewed most related posts here, but I wasn't able to isolate the issue.

The TV shut itself off during playback and never came back to life - the standby light remains off. My dad claims that it has happened a few times in the past but the issue resolved itself after some time. Not this one.

After checking the basics I did the following:
                                          • I measured all voltages and as expected the only active supply is the 3.5V standby. It

                                          TV: Samsung QLED QE65Q7FNAT
                                          PSU: BN4400940A

I got the tv in spring 2024. At that time it started, then ran 60 sec and poweroff. Seemed like reboot issue. I didn't have time and room to check it in summer so I plugged it in and now the standby light is on. I press button on remote, standby light goes off and tries to start?. No picture or backlight on LCD. I thought about removing diodes like in this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...sung-qled-q60r...
