I do not know what the P/N is but it is not IC but Q = Transistor or MOSFET.

yes, you are correct, silly me, this is the first time i have seen anything melt on a T-CON,
first thought was a fuse that was the problem, but no, its this Q303.
ive search google for pics, in the hope i could blow it up big enough to see some markings, but no joy as yet

already sorted the PSU to get the tv going in the first place, so this t-con is a second problem, does a telly this old warrent spending £22 for a T-CON, i don't think so, and the customer ain't gonna like the bill,

I use this site whenever possible because the prices are good but delivery is generally a week or so from placing your order.

They have one for £12.99 + postage

Quick update, got the T-CON today and fitted, thats the good news,
now the bad news, on turning the tv to see the result, poof a puff of smoke and burning smell from main board, but cant find anything burnt, well its now going in the scrap, its just not worth spending money on something this old.
THAT'S THE END OF THIS PROBLEM.
