think if i remember correctly, if you set picture to dynamic the LED option becomes available...

so after trying to find out what the problem is, i can only assume that it is the main board,
due to the fact that there are none about, but all other boards for this tv are available,

tried the USB and HDMI inputs and nothing showed from them, but the media page from the tv showed up, then i got a pic from the tv channel it was on.
pluged the HDMI back in and got the display from my laptop on the tv,
everything seemed fine until i turn the tv off,
turning it back on and back to the original problem of no pic but can get menu up on screen, put USB and HDMI cables back in and tried to replicate what i did earlier but nothing happened.
so from what i can tell there is a HDMI control...Leave a comment:

strange going on with this tv,
turns on as normal, but with no picture,i have sound from the tv channel that it is on, back lights ok and come on, i can press the menu button and get the menu up, i can also press a channel button or volume and they also display with no problem. just can not get a pic from the tv ?
no pics at this time as only just picked it up and yet to take apart,
what do you think ?

can i swap a 7N60B for a 10N60 transistor
or can i go any lower than 7N60, reason i ask is, i have just removed the shorted 7N60 and only had a 10N60 to replace with, but i have no voltage on the cold side of the board and don't know if the 10N60 is what is the problem, also the heat sink that it is on gets very hot.
this is the power board on a TECHNIKA 40 LED, MEGMEET MP118T -

just read though that, and not sure if i understand, thanks btw,
so on VCC i get 3.3v, HOLD 103 i get 3.3v, CLK i get 0v, 100 get 0v,
CS i get 3.3v, 101 i get 0v, 102 i get 3.3v, this is when tv is turned on, is this correct ?
or is this where the fault is, can't find any shorts on buffers or faulty capsLeave a comment:

I get 12 volts on tcon and get the correct readings marked on the output side, just checking a winbond chip on the buffer, trying to find some info on it, but only finding flash chips, it's winbond 25Q16DVIG...Leave a comment:

readings from the tcon, all seem to be the same with or without ribbons, now checking buffer boards for shorts, tryed removing one ribbon at a time, but still no pic on any half of the screen, seems strange that i picked it up in this condition, pluged in when getting home and it worked,Leave a comment:

Ok guys, got this tv as none working, got it home plugged it in and it fired up with no problem, used it for a week and then image disappeared, still boots up ok and stays on with back lights but no image, I'm getting correct volts from PSU to main board and back once turned on, next thing I check is fuse on tcon and that is fine, then checked the volt readings on the output side of the tcon. Got some strange very low volts, so got another tcon put that in and still getting low readings, think I may have a main board prob... -

just to let you guys know, replaced the sot 23 with the A03401, and all is working fine,
next mission is to try and find the 8 pin slim mini din extension lead to go from the switch box to the monitor, can't seem to find anywhere in UK to buy them from.Leave a comment:

you are right redwire, there was a short on a video wire, inner and outer, only found it after the burn out of the N010X when i was checking the mini 8 pin din plug and socket. so im going to need a new cable as well.
to be honest, this is the first time i have had a look at something like this, i im at a total loss as to where to start, so i will buy some of the P channel, as this seems to be the best guess, what would happen if i put the wrong one in ?Last edited by finntricky; 02-27-2020, 02:52 PM.Leave a comment:

SOT23 transistor HELP!
i have a video switch box with 3 AV outputs, this is a rear double screen video system in my car, the switch box started to smoke so unpluged the 12v supply,
on inspection of the internal board, i have a N010X SOT23 that has burnt,
my problem is that i can't find any of these transistors with the same markings,
i have no idea of the values.
maybe someone here will know or maybe there may be an alternative, that i can replace with. added this pic that i found with google.

[ATTACH]207708[/ATTACH]Got this monitor, and the power supply is faulty, I need help to identify the IC At position U9 301 as it has blown the top and can't see what it is, also looks like resister at R9 301 is burnt next to it, I have power on the hot side of the board and nothing on the cold side,
Just need to find out what this IC is please.
