    Samsung UE55F9000ST

Looking to repair a current Samsung Smart 4K 3D HDTV I currently purchased, Sorry i dont have any history, thought I would take the gamble. Anyway couple of questions first.

    Make : Samsung
    Model number is : UE55F9000ST

Does anyone have this or any experience with the type of tv that requires a One Connect box, if so, if the One connect isnt connected to the TV does anything appear on the screen at all?

At the moment all I get is a white/blueish screen the little white light (ON indicator) at the front is on and the standby button changes from red to blue or green (will need to double check again)
So seems the TV is powering up in some way, I just don't know if it should boot up with the Samsung Logo on screen or a splash screen of some sort, don't want to fork out £300 on the One Connect unless I know the TV is doing what it should be doing.

    Thanks in advance

Here is a pic with the TV powered up no One Connect.

Got tv opened and found a blown fuse (F1) on the what I think is the TCon and replaced but no difference.

Any pointers would be much appreciated on this one as always guys.

This looks like a T-con problem , it can cause a white screen.

Can you provide pictures from the boards?
I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!

If it's a 7Amp fuse being replaced with a 3Amp fuse I'm surprised it hasn't blown open circuit.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Something happened to pop the fuse in the first place so go over the tcon thoroughly.

I can be bad panel (shorted TFT driver ICs) that caused the fuse to blow and it may take out your new T-CON too, you should try having one cable between the T-CON and the LCD panel connected one at a time to see what you get.

Have the tv stripped down at the minute, fuse had blown again. Will try your method budm and let you know. I did try unplugging the right hand side panel cable , no difference and also done vice versa with left, same outcome. ( from the bn94-06576a board that sits above tcon.) cables in pic attached. Also a tcon going by the part number.

                          Thanks

SAM 4K panel had on both side left and right side ribbon taps easily moved round to get damage, you need to remove the LCD bezel to check them.

Didn't notice any damage to ribbons around the inner bezel, I am going to replace the blown fuse again, now have 5A ones then disconnect everything connected too the tcon board, i will replace one thing at a time and check fuse after plugging a ribbon/connector etc in,(powering down and back on after each instance) this should surely narrow it down to which board the fault lyes?

                                TIA

Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...

TV looks immaculate and its a 2022 model year so I thought maybe the one connect cable was damaged.
Got it home and put it on the Kill-A-Watt power meter and it was completely dead.

I immediately remembered EazyBone's Samsung The Frame TV no power....One Connect thread and am preparing myself to tear the One Connect open and hunt for dead parts.
