Hey guys I'm working on a sanyo model # dps46819, the issue im having is distorted picture, i think the term is "solarized" i have visually inspected all components and boards, i have tested the power supply to rule it out, all voltages are correct. I cleaned and reset all conections on the set, and resoldered the ground on the tcon connector, and the problem still persists. It is solarized even when the menu is pulled up. Im wondering if anyone might be able to point out which chip would be responsible for causing this issue.

Re: Sanyo dps46819
Forgot to mention this is an intermittent problem, after the set is on for about 15 mins sometimes the screen will go back to normal, but will return to solarized after a couple minutes. There is also a buzzing noise coming throught the speakers, i figured it was related to the solarization issue.Comment

Re: Sanyo dps46819
Is there a method of testing this to verify? Thank you for your quick response cliff_hootarski. Very much appreciated.Comment

Re: Sanyo dps46819
Pictures of the "solarization"?
Try freeze spray on that AS15 to see if it changes.Comment

Re: Sanyo dps46819
Record the voltages on the "VG"(anything labeled VGxx) test points beneath the AS15 chip
when the picture is bad vs good. Let us know the values. In table form, ie
VG01 - xx Volts
VG02 - xx Volts
and so on.Last edited by cliff_hootarski; 07-27-2016, 03:07 PM.Comment

Re: Sanyo dps46819
I can see the GAMMA DC Voltage test points VG1, ... VG22 but I cannot see ALL of them on the board, some may be under the stickers.Never stop learning

The chip in question is also extremely hot to the touch, and freeze spray seems to have no affect on its performance.Comment

Re: Sanyo dps46819
Can i ask how you can tell from those values that its bad? I ask so if i run into the problem again on another set i might be able to test it myself and know without having to ask again.Comment

by petobongoHi, i have a LG 26LV2500 , i turned on the TV and the colors are awful, most likely solarized issue, already replaced the flex cable between board and TCON and did a reset, none of that worked.
The mainboard is a EAX64280803.
Can someone help me?
Thank you in advance. -
by rouninHi everyone,
I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.
🛠 Original Issue
The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.
I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

by ugamazingI have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!
We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre... -

Hello guys!
I have a strange issue with my laptop keyboard and I'm lost trying to detect what's wrong - the KB9028Q-C or the keyboard itself.
It powers on OK and has no other issues except the following:- CAPS LOCK does not work at all
- Fn button toggles Flight Mode
- When I press 't' or '5', it produces 't5', and when I press 'y' or '6', it produces 'y6'
- (with SHIFT pressed: 't%' and 'y^' respectively)
but when I press and hold...06-27-2025, 01:10 AM -

I am experiencing a BIOS-related issue with my Dynabook Satellite Pro C50D-B-100. When I power on the laptop, the screen stays black, and there is no response from the system. I suspect a corrupted BIOS.
I have checked the forum and the available documentation but could not find a solution specific to my issue.- Brand & Model: Dynabook Satellite Pro C50D-B-100
