Re: Panasonic SC Board - BAD 30F131 IGBTs

Strange I have used These Fairchild IGBTs in over 12 Panasonic board repairs over the last few weeks.and not had a problem. This is one I am repairing for a member on here. Could it be the other components you are useing or your technique

hi flocko i repair roughly 20 to 30 units a week all parts i use are mostly panasonic direct orignals other i sourced and are good only gt30f131 i get from various sources but now i go n choice get them direct from panasonic i just dont like selling my kits that have out of spec parts or fake, just not fair on techs spending time replacing bits then loud bang, back to oyur point i will give it another go on tnpa 5335 uses 3 gt30f131 on 1 bank se if it does the job thanks again flocko

That is not a problem, 20-30 units a week that is a lot of boards, that would be 120 30f131 IGBTs on there own that is a lot, and with your kits as well. I can see why you are looking for other parts to replace them. Hope it all works out for you

Just repaired a 42VT30 yesterday and replaced all parts with the replacement parts and it worked perfectly. Got 6 blinks after repair , forgot to replace the IC , working as it should work.
GT30 also works with same parts. ( I got them from mouser ).

Good job! Could have been a soldering issue that blew the board? Saw some sc boards lately that came from a uk seller from eBay. Don't know the name but the soldering looks awful to be honest.

If you sell a reworked board , the board must look like "new" and not with IGBT's that are half soldered on the board or to much tin on the outside.

My 30 pack of FGD4536TM for $15 finally showed up (19 day wait). They fixed both SC boards for my tc-p50s30's. They work great, run cooler, and are easy to solder on. Pretty good results for my first surface mount repair!

the TM is not stamped on it, if they're working that's a good start

Why not try them and see or even try a RJP30H2.

By the way. I tried yet another chinese source on Ebay and same deal the 30F131 blew taking out the RJP30H2. Contacted seller who said they'd refund if I destroyed them with images. Also said strange no one else had issue but I say strange I use real parts and my repair is good.

Looking at these ones I thought they may be ok but the outside surface is scratched up to disguise them. Another thing I have noticed is with the metal tab on the cut corners the originals have an exposed portion of copper where all these bad ones are tinned.

The RJP30H2 I got seem original and had no issues there and the cut corners have exposed copper like the originals.

I know they work for 30f131 ,I use them, and love them. I was just wondering if they will substitute for other bits.

Like I said, try them or RJP30H2. I just look at the ratings and give them a go.

I will put up a pic tomorrow. The ones I installed failed. I checked the ones I had left in diode mode, every combination of legs, and they all read O.L. (open).
Maybe I should avoid the "Deals", in country and abroad, and pay the crazy high prices for a few and see how they work.

The ones I've been getting of a Chinese ebayer have been fine and ive been keeping the originals and they look legit under magnification. The same was not the case for the Toshiba bits.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                            Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock

I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?
                                            by canadaboy25
I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...

                                            Hi everyone!
I happened several times, in the search for help from the web, to consult this very interesting forum.
So I decided to sign up and I intend to participate actively by making available my knowledge and experience on the subject, I'm a new user but at the same time I'm old in the sense that I have 4 decades of experience in repairing and designing electronics but above all I'm a great passionate about the subject.

Having said that I come to the gist of my post on the forum as the title suggests.
For my passion for technology I'm now collecting several...
