Re: Panasonic SC Board - BAD 30F131 IGBTs

Full refund from UTs on my order 50x30F131s. UK buyers Panasonic B1JBDN000004 (30F131) are in stock from sparedparts + chsinteractive (Charles Hyde) expect to pay £3.50+ each and they should come in a nice Panasonic parts bag.

I too was a victim from an ASS CLOWN on ebay, here in the states.
Bought his repair kit for TC-P50S30 SC board and they all went a pop pop.
Let us know if a good batch starts showing up.Oh Christ, that sounds like drug lingo!!!!

I thought i just had some bad soldering on my part but it can be that i use bad IGBT's? I have like 6 TNPA5349 boards here. One board had 4 shorted IGBT's , all 30F131. Replaced all 4 of them with parts from china and i got like 5/6 loud bangs. All known parts on the board got shorted.

This gives me hope though , just need better parts and im not afraid to buy original panasonic parts. I'll follow this thread.

Re: Panasonic SC Board - BAD 30F131 IGBTs

I bought a repair kit from shopjimmy this past weekend for a tnpa5349 and after installing the 4 IGBT's and hiooking it up, I heard a pop fiz and smoke.
But since this was my first attempt it could have been my fault.

Will probably my last attemp at repairing them myself.

Sometimes you also need to replace the small ic also. It can be that the igbts you got are fakes also.

"part is discontinued since 2015 ,....... no replacement part.......
You may want to check IR part no IRG6S320U is a suitable substitute for GT3F131."

The IR product is also obsolete.

                  No news about authenticity.

AliExpress seems to have the IRG6S320U (10/20 pcs), but the web site claims Free Shipping! and then charges DHL rates for 3 to 7 day delivery.

But why take IRG6S320U if you can use the RJP30H2A?

So this evening i decided to repair the TNPA5349 again but this time with just the RJP30H2A instead of the GT3F131
Just to be sure i also replaced RFN10 and RF1501 as they measured short also. Short went away after removing the IGBT's but i had them laying here so i thought , just to be sure!

Replaced all parts and again RF1501 was short. Reflowed some parts and the short was gone.... ?

I took hiding behind a corner and plugged the mains in. I was waiting for the "pop pop pop pop" but nothing happened. It did turn off but now with 6 blinks. This means the DG302 or IC is bad. Will do some further checking but im already happy that the board is still working and did not blow up like with the fake 30F131.

DG302 are all ok. Tomorrow i'll replace IC504 and the small ic next to it. Fingers crossed!

Picked up a Panasonic 50GT30 today for little money that went out with a big bang. Owner wanted to place the tv with the dumpster lol....
When i got home i turned the tv on and as aspected , 7 blinks! Took the board Ysus board out and all 6 IGBT's were short together with RF1501 and DAF30. 1 IGBT was blown of the board. Removed just the IGBTS and the short on RF1501 and DAF30 was gone but replaced 1501 just to be sure.

Replaced all six parts and the diode for the RJP30H2A / RF1501 and tv turned on and is working great! Thanks for the tip TW2005!! , Im not going to use the 30F131 again until there is a good supplier for the parts. Also i now know that i can fix these boards when nobody has played with it before....

hi everyone i couldnt reply to previous comments, buy with a move to larger workshop batch1412 batch 1117 all fake under rated igbts they been re etched
some 1412 batch are good but the fakers have copied the batch numbers i test my igbt on diode test using postive probe just tickle the gate and then check on diode drain and source should read 1.8v on diod,or better still using variable power supply stick 4.8v on the gate and you will get the igbt saturate,i sold so many kits for panasonic i mkae sure all mosfets are ok but now it seems gt30f131 are getting hard to get i even had some direct from panasonic out of spec i am looking to add eqivulent igbt anyone any idea i was going to try fgd4536 no idea if it works seen this igbt on lg plasma can anyone shed any light

FGD4536TM , works great as substitute! Fixed my very first sc board with it and tv is working for almost a week now without problems. Extra heatsinks and the tv is not even warm on the backside.

TW2005 and Flocko also use fgd4536 and the one from TW2005 is running for 18 months now without problems.

My GT30 with fgd4536 is working perfect also.

i feel fgd4536 not suitable for gt30f131 the gating voltages required is lower for the fgd and gt30f131 requires more thus possibilty of killig the 15v reg and other bits

lolzz i knew i will cause damage to the board, i fitted 4 fgd igbts and in went dg302 both smd transistor and smd chip rf10 and rf1501 switched on loud bang checked all igbts all ok but damn 15v reg short, blown the face off few resistors. seems fgd not suitible ,confused now all spec are ok on both igbts only thing i can think its switching to much voltage over
