    Help me identify this capacito/resistor

Attached is a MC201 board from Panny TH50PZ85U. Circled in red is the item i need help with. It dislodged itself during soldering and was lost. Need to replace but not sure what to replace it with. Any help is appreciated.

PS dont mind the poor soldering of the ceramic capacitor on the left, It has been cleaned up since.

Not sure if you have tried but maybe try what i suggested in your other thread have look on ebay theres a few compays who repair these mc201 mc301 and send them a question and ask them for the value and size they can only say no to you no harm in asking or even try the company you got your repair kits from they may have a board they can check for you etc.

get a datasheet for the chip, the circuit is probably close to the example you often get in the datasheet

Re: Help me identify this capacito/resistor

Check on that power supply board for another module, I know some of the panasonic power supplies did use two
I just checked the manual and that board only has the one, Must have been thinking of a different power board

Looks like its off pin 19 SD shut-down input but does notr list a value for the resistor

There has to be somewhere it is listed or way to check it. Isn't there?

What are the part markings on the IC?

                  Edit: Is this it?

keep in mind, this is the 201 chip, The 301 is the one im missing parts for. Just easier to show locations on this one.

There is an application diagram in the datasheet. Why don't you spend a little time to trace your circuit? Then we may be able to calculate the value of the missing component.

Need help to identify and to locate a 0.33 ohms fusible resistor for power supply
                                          by gica69
I have a quad charger that is split into 4 separate sections and one section doesn’t charge anymore. I have located what I think is a thermistor and on the shrink tube it says 125 degrees C. I cut the shrink tube and it's a 33 ohms resistor. It measures a little less than 1/2 inch in length. I am including pictures of it. Please help me identify it. So, it should test at 0.4ohms and probably go up in resistance with the rise in temp. On the board it clearly says R for resistor. But it has to be a special one.
Resistor shows orange range silver gold and green lines.
                                          Thanks in adv...

                                          Hi to all forum members,

Got this faulty 350 watt atx psu dirt cheap from a local online seller as i am keen to use it as a learning tool to repair faulty power supply.
The faulty part is quite obvious from the burn area near the 16pin KA7500 BD pwm. The fuse is still intact with good continuity.

Upon power on ac, there is 5vdc standby power on cathode of diode D14 and about 10vdc on cathode of diode D13.(This should be the aux power to generate the 12v and 5v rail.)
Initially i replace the two burned resistors near my marked red arrow to 200 ohm resistor...

I am curious if a 0402 resistor could go from 43 ohm to 0. In electronics class and my experience a resistor can degrade and gain resistance all the way up to not being able to conduct at all. I have never heard of a resistor decreasing in resistance and becoming 0 ohm or a dead short… that's not the direction they fail… or so I thought.

I was attempting to remove a wson8 chip on an iMac motherboard and it required a lot of heat, on one side of the chip were 3 0402 resistors that were very close. I popped the chip out unintentionally out of the tweezers and sent those resistors...
