Re: MC301 on panasonic power supply
thanks for confirming so the trace burned off on my pcb wont make a difference

Re: MC301 on panasonic power supply
Thanks for those schematics. However I'm not seeing where pin 10 is connected to. I can see where all the other pins go to but unless i'm looking at it wrong, pin 10 is just an island connected to nothing. Heres another picture, not much better quality but a little cleaner....

Re: MC301 on panasonic power supply
Here's a pic. This pcb is very damaged after many attempts at soldering and resoldering this board. However i can still get all pins to solder up with a bit of effort. The pin marked in red is the one in question. It looks like just a pad to me, not leading anywhere. However, The MC301 that solders up to this definitly has a pin with traces running to it....

MC301 on panasonic power supply
Does the fifth pin from the left on MC301 go to anything on the power supply. I accidently burned the trace off the pcb and have nothing to solder this pin to. I cant see where on the power supply board that pin even goes though. It just looks like a single pad. Any ideas?

Testing soldered connections
I am very new to soldering small electronics. I am attempting to fix a power supply on a TV and continue blowing a fuse. Wondering if it's my bad soldering or something else. The solder job doesn't look good and I've burned the pcb in areas, however if I check continuity from the pin I soldered to the other end of the trace, it tests good. No solder bridges between pins either. Is this good enough of a test to ensure the solder is good enough? Any help is much appreciated. I can attach pics later, but quite frankly it's embarrassing. Lol thanks

Re: Help me identify this capacito/resistor
Found last night i forgot to plug in one connector. Turned on and worked good for about 3-4 mins then blew F301 and the heat sink on Q301 Q201 was extremely hot. now im back to 10 blink where i started. whats causing this? I started another thread as we are getting a little of topic of the title of this post

Re: TH50PZ85U One blink after repairing 10 blink
Solved the one blink, There was one connector i forgot to plug back in after the repair. Fired it up and turned right on. It was on for 3-4 mins and went dead again! F301 on the power supply is blown and the heat sink on Q301 Q201 is extremely hot to touch. What is causing this?

TH50PZ85U One blink after repairing 10 blink
So I have completed the 10 blink repair on MC201 and MC301. Now i am getting a one blink and no power to screen. The manual doesn't really show a one blink as an error code but just says its and communication error with microcomputer, No diagnostics given. Please advise me where to start. Thanks in advance!

Re: Help me identify this capacito/resistor
I am assuming these are resistors based on my studies of the datasheet. I know MC301 is not the same as MC201 but the look very similar. I am gambling here by reading the values on MC201 and hoping i can put those on MC301. Reading the same resistors on MC201 that i didn't mess up. One reads 9.5 KOhms and the other reads 1.0 Kohms. The package size is 0402 or 1005 metric. I am unsure about the Voltage though. The board is supplied with 15V so do i just need to make sure these resistors are rated for at least 15V or does it need to be rated...

Re: Help me identify this capacito/resistor
uh oh, where?
keep in mind, this is the 201 chip, The 301 is the one im missing parts for. Just easier to show locations on this one.Last edited by Trueburton; 06-22-2016, 10:19 AM.

Re: Testing transistor on power supply
Yes, mc301 is the one I changed resistor on. But I cannot find any information or datasheet for this board! A aah! Thanks for the help so far. I'm not giving up yet!
