    Bush LT26M1CA intermittent fault

    Hi all,

The intermittent problem is that the TV will power on ok most of the time. Unfortunately sometimes it just powers on to a blank white/grey screen. Sound is present.

It was worse until I pulled it apart and then put it back together. Sometimes it will run away fine all day. Then some mornings it powers on faulty. Re-power and it's ok.

Could this be bad caps? PSU looks good, no overheating. Caps look good also.

    Any ideas, pleases help.

    Hab.

Posting pictures of the back of your tv showing the boards with clear pictures may help you more with fixing your problem

Image of the fault please ? Sounds like tab bond issue to me.

I've uploaded a couple of photos below.

TV has been ok today, so no image of the faulty screen.
Generally it's just a blank white/grey screen. Sometimes some light shaded lines are visible. TV menus don't display. Sound come through ok.

Here is a sample of how it powers on sometimes.

          Any ideas, anybody?

            did you replace any caps?
there is a poly in the psu and a rubycon on the main - very strange!

If you try flexing or tapping the top corners of the screen does the fault come and go ?

No, flexing or tapping doesn't seem to make it worse or better. It seems to be related more to powering on with or without the fault.

With that said I have once seen it go faulty while on. Also it came good once when I touched the ribbon cable between main and the screen (pictured).

What happens if you heat the TCon board up with a hair dryer, then turn the TV on?
