Vetel Tosh 22D704b DVD Incorrect disc

I have just repaird the diodes on this and had it on test over the weekend, Just tried it and now the DVD keeps stating "incorrect disc, as his daughter uses the DVD rather than TV I can hardly give it back,

isnt there a reset code foe the dvds on these? , I know these DVD units don't last long and I have spares but usually they say "no disc "

any quick fix ? maybe just dirt

Is there a Region Setting for the DVD in the On Screen Menu?

The DVD player also has an "age limit" (parental control) you can set. See manual below

yes , that seems OK, its only ever had a kids dvd in, now every didc inseted is incorrect, I am guessing motor fault as you can hear its not spinning the disc, maybe just a clean needed, I will attempt one later

These little Dvd Tv's are a nightmare when they fail. I have had the motors crap out the amp Ic that drives the motors crap out and if it fails with the image in black and white the firmware is gone. Let us know if cleaning the motor helps

i have a shed load of dvd players if you want a replacement
all come from cust return tvs from argos with damaged screens
