    Good Afternoon fellas,

    Issue:
Disc is showing as not supported when a disc is put in.

Here's what I've done, you can skip this if you just wanna know the question:
    - replaced with a disc drive from a donor ps5 (honestly questionable if this is known to work)
    - reflowed the disc drive connector
-reflowed the chip in question (shown on image)
    - I will say this console was very dusty so it's conceivable that it got so hot that it made the chip joints cold and potentially other things on the board

    Question:
I want to know what typical values are for this chip or this section of the board if one already has this information.

or what other possible issues could be if not the disc drives themselves?

(i've not done motherboard repairs on this particular board so i'm not sure what common voltages or values i need to know in order to diagnose these)

and now it's not turning on having put 480c on this part of the board, i heard an audible crack, i f****ing hope and pray to god i didn't royally mess this up.

any and all help is appreciated. TYIA.

The arrow i'm pointing at is the other side of the disc drive connector traces. I followed that to that chip and figured i may as well reflow it. rookie mistake i suppose

it was either of 2 things:
found spilled liquid metal (cause for not turning on)
southbridge was most likely the culprit for the disc not being read. cold joints, unless i'm wrong

I believe that the disk drive is married to the board.
I hear you can swop the drives internal board over to the new one and it should work.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

          Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...
