yup the reason one of these boards are dead is because of cheap chinese IBGT'S

please remember I have 2 of these sets both with 6 blinks..... one dg302 reads short and one doesnt,
so the one that doesnt probably needs new gate resistor and the one that does read short ??Leave a comment:

the replacemant fets have just arrived, so i have put them on, and the 7 blinks has changed to 6 blinks, so now I have 2 Identical Tvs with 6 blinks and all fets good , not sure it is the sc board nowLeave a comment:

the weird thing is the tv is now on, propped up in my workshop with the boards against the window on the hottest day of the year and the picture stays on, and its bloody hot, as soon as the back is screwed on it lasts 15 minsLeave a comment:

I have 2 42 pannys both the same model, but one as 7 blinks one has 6, I swapped over the SC boards and the one that had 6 became 7 and the one that had 7 became 6 proving both boards have faults.
i know the 7 blinks has the shored IGBT'S just waiting for a delivery of proper replacements and not the cheap chinese ones that last 5 mins which are currently sweeping the uk...
my Question is I cant find any other shorts on the board to cause the 6 blinks, anyone else have come across this before ? -

Not sure on VS cos to make it go off I have to keep back screwed on, I will do a check later.

This Plasma will lose its pic after 10 -15 mins , but s switch off and on and its back for another 10.....
However If I take the back of and run it .... no problems it has stayed on for 4 hours now, as soon as I put the back on , give it 10 and its off.
so a heat problem, but where , Main board BGA ? Sus boards ?
as its a Plasma spraying freeze is unlikely to ignite the screen again , so just wondered if anyone has seen anything like this -

Sorry not Plasma LED edge backlit
This is supposed to be the LG NO SIGNAL picture but its just scrolling lines, at first I naturally assumed panel fault ,but there is this niggling doubt in the back of my mind.....
when I unplug the Tcon from the main board its just a plain normal backlit picture (obviousley) so does anyone else thinks its Panel ?...Last edited by Fleckers tv; 06-09-2016, 05:02 PM. -
