The thing I can not understand is that I have tested them all in one then 3,then swapping them around and still the same. I am not sure now if is the led's really. Checked Visualy one strip and looks OK. How much you want including postage for them? Thanks

That is exact tv set here. Anyway one more question for you or anyone on here
Tested led's on diode mode everyone of them and there is no problem showing. Any way I can jumper the power supply pins to turn tv on without motherboard connected. One last test without mainboard. Thanks

You can try just not having the cable between the main board and the power supply board connected then plug the TV into the outlet to see if the backlights will come on and stay on IF this power supply board has built-in pull-up resistors to allow self test of the power supply/LED driver board.

my power supply board is different but mine when i got it had a dark patch bank of leds not lighting, i proceeded and took the screen apart thing for sure it was the led strip and just like your it work when stripped down i later found a bad connection on one of the fets touched it they all came on and let go they went off, that was when i put the screen back on and knacked it lolol
check yours out

Thanks. All the psu leds board are very clean and they do power on for a bit with or without screen atached to it.
Just need to try without the main board connection on if it was any way.

As I said the TV here is exactly same as on ur pictures. I am not convinced is leds but I think is worth trying before putting screen back together. Let us know price plz and thank you very much. Kinda had enough of TV now lol.

Update. Bought another faulty screen 42le4900 replaced screen from my mates tv and all up and running. Also tested power supply on that tv and is all good. So the leds where faulty. Thanks everyone for ur help

Meaning another tv not screen. It was £40 on eBay. Very lucky lol.

BTW, you have indicated that you test all the LED in diode mode and no bad one found, what did it show on your meter when testing in both directions? The LEDs actually light up with the meter?
More likely it was showing the Vf of the protection diode.

Well I did tested and every one light it up. Only way why I said must be leds is cause tested all rest of parts on the other TV I bought off eBay and they do work. so I dont know if leds show up ok while testing but may fail once warmed up as mentioned before. So I can't see any proper way of led test. Cheers

I repaired one of these at the weekend, same issue, it Had 5 leds out, one was Burnt to a crisp, the others just failed, then replaced the burnt one and the leds came back to life minus the 4... still working ok, I am awaiting new strips rather than solder them all
