    LG 50PS8000 Horizontal lines

My LG 50PS8000 Plasma are missing every second line on the lower 2/3 of the screen.
All inputs and menu are affected
The upper 1/3 of the screen is perfect, but he lower 2/3 are missing half the lines. One line good, next line black
    Va and Vs is ok
Sound ok, menu ok, all input does work
Tried to disconnect and reconnect all flex cables - did not help.

    Ysus? Ydriver? Or Control board?

As far as I have found out, the boards are the same on a LG 50PS3000 Plasma

Looks like a bad scan driver (buffer board), if one output of a buffer IC fails you could get this pattern. I would suggest replacing the upper buffer.

Wait there Tom ! Have you seen Ali E's post about one of these ? If not the Ysus was causing the issue something about a bad buffer ram Ic which tells the Ysus what to load on the panel. Also I had the PS3000 with lines like this running the TP the image was fine and the mobo was the cause in the end.

                  Re: LG 50PS8000 Horizontal lines

I found spare parts in the UK and repalced the upper buffer board, as Tom66 recommended.
Now the LG 50PS8000 is running again
                  Thank you Tom66

                    UPDATE - Okt 2017

After replacement of the upper buffer the screen worked fine until yesterday

This time the lower 1/3 of the screen had the same failure

To my luck I got both the upper and lower buffer boards as spare parts last time

After replacement of the lower buffer it's now working again

Next time I guess it's a new set (as I'm out of spares)
