Re: tv lcd Philips 42pfl9632d/10 Power board ko
If the resistor is marked as 10 Ohms and it is tested as 96 Ohms, then it is bad, you can also remove it from the board to test it also since any residue Voltage left on the board will also cause the Ohm to read wrong.
Which 10 Ohms in what section of the board?Never stop learning

Re: tv lcd Philips 42pfl9632d/10 Power board ko
If you look at the SCH I provided, you will see that 3014, 3017 are 100R resistors which are 100 Ohms resistors, not 10 Ohms resistors.
So are you for sure that the MOSFET 7005, 7006 are really shorted out because you said it did not blow the main fuse.
Right now we need to fins out what DCV you have on the cold side of the power supply connectors.Never stop learning

Re: tv lcd Philips 42pfl9632d/10 Power board ko
Main power supply board connectors.
Do you have 5V2 (notes: this Voltage is generated by the power supply on the main board, chassis GND ref.)? See the large version of the SCH.
Do you have 25V_HOT (GND ref to negative leg of main filter cap in the DC primary)?Last edited by budm; 03-18-2016, 03:22 PM.Never stop learning

no,with all boards connected i haven't voltage, no 5v and no 25VComment

Re: tv lcd Philips 42pfl9632d/10 Power board ko
The 5V is generated by the power supply on the main board, so you need to find out of the main board is getting the main AC feeding the 2-pin power connector on the main board or not.
It is time for you to upload pictures of the whole back side of the TV so we can see all the boards and how they are connected together.
What is the history of this TV? Was it hit by power surge? drops? someone worked on it before you? etc.Never stop learning

as soon as i will post the photo of the back side tv.
The strange is that the speakers are connected to the main board... if there isn't V, why they work?
i say alone. the main board take directly the 220V AC from the black connector of the power supply, for this reason the speaker worksLast edited by Bibu; 03-19-2016, 01:05 PM.Comment

"The strange is that the speakers are connected to the main board... if there isn't V, why they work?" That why are you 100% SURE that there are NO Voltages on the connectors of the main board, power supply board? There must be measurement errors.Last edited by budm; 03-19-2016, 03:01 PM.Never stop learning

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi everyone,
I'm working on an Acer Nitro 5 unit with the following specs:- Motherboard: LA-J871P Rev: 1B

Initial Issue
The laptop initially presented graphic issues and driver failure (Code 43) for the GPU.
After preventive maintenance (cleaning, thermal paste, etc.), it powered on normally. We disassembled it again to inspect the GPU, reassembled... -
by spantorHello partners.
Could someone tell me how to make this Philips TV source work without the mainboard being connected? The model of the board is EAX65423701 (2.1) and the model of the Philips TV is 40PFH40009/88.
The TV is dead, there is no standby light, however there is a voltage of 12v on the pins ( included 12v VAU ) and 3.2v on the PS-ON pin (see photo) when the power board is connected to the main board. If I disconnect both boards I only get 8 volts on 12v pins. I would like to rule out a fault in the main board by making it work, but so far no one has been able to tell... -
by Dani_2024Hi and thanks in advance for any input you might provide!
I have a Sceptre U550CV-UMRD8POTV83BB 4K LED (this is a dumb tv) that I bought new in August 2021, so It's just completed 3 years.

Last Sunday I was watching a dvd and fell asleep for about half hour, when I awoke the tv screen was black and couldn't get the dvd menu to show, so I changed the input to antenna and had sound but no picture, turned it off. I then got online and found this great site! ....read many troubleshooting tips and this...5 Photos -
