I really tried to equate your explanation to this circuit, but would be lying if I said I totally understood. Your knowledge greatly surpasses me, but I will keep trying. Right now I am off to see if I can remember how this thing goes back together and try to get the backlight level turned down. Thanks Mr. Barton and as always budm.

Well, I am glad I am not suicidal, but I got the thing back together, backlights work great, but the display is damaged. Glass isn't cracked, but evidently got stressed going into the dumpster and I couldn't keep it lit long enough originally to tell with the backlight problem. I learned a lot though and it was fun so guess I will wait for something else to come along. Quite the bummer as I was really proud of this one. Oh well, thanks to dick and budm, for the enlightenment!

Thanks for your condolences. I literally got this from the dumpster. I guess the previous owner wasn't as gentle as he could have been when he placed it in there. No cracks in the glass, but I will look at the backside when I strip it of parts. Its all good.

Are you sure you have put the panel filters back in, in the correct order because that has a major effect on the picture. Also there are plastic pins in the back of the panel to hold the filters away from the leds. These sometimes break off so the filters do not sit correctly behind the LCD panel if they are missing.

Re: Seiki SE47FY19 - No backlights

I just removed the display and there is definitely a crack on the back of the panel. There must be some coating on the front that hides the damage, but it is definitely done for. I am assuming it came from its stay in the dumpster, but for whatever reason this one is toast. Its ok, I learned a lot.

Re: Seiki SE47FY19 - No backlights

Hi. I know this thread is old and I'm new to this site and after reading this post I was hoping that anyone could help me. I tried to google as much as I could but I cannot find any help. I even called SEIKI and they told me that they don't offer tech support.

I have a Seiki TV SE47FY19 and I had to replace the main board but I forgot how to plug in the inverter cable with the power supply. I have a cable that has 4 pins (with 3 cables in it) and the power supply board as 6 pins...where should I connect it to? the pins on the power supply read as follows

                  GND
                  GND
                  ADJ
                  L/ON
                  +12V
                  +12V

my guess put black to ground pin but its only a guess but the part on the plug will then fit in the cut out on the connector socket too.

But should I put it on the top ground or bottom ground? This is the part that confuses me because I have 2 grounds

It's keyed. It will only go in one way without having to force it in. Looking at photo 2, between the white wire and no connection there is extra plastic at the top of the connector between those two pins and this has to mate with the socket.
As Vinceroger69 says the black wire will then connect to the second GND and the yellow wire to +12V

I also think we both advised correctly too i just couldnt think of the keyed socket wording etc when i posted but the white glue inside the socket also made sence to use the firt 4 pins of the keyed socket

                                          Hi there !

I'm having an issue for several weeks with my quite old K70 LUX RGB keyboard. I haven't used it for few months, and once I setup up again my desktop computer, I got several dead LEDs on that keyboard. I tried the Corsair troubleshooting thing (disabling options in iCUE, ...) but nothing changed so I conclude that for some reason some LEDs went in retirement...😅
Decision taken to change these LEDs as I have access to desoldering iron and binocular magnifier, I wrote a ticket to tech support, hopping to obtain the LEDs reference and... They refused to tell me 🙄...

First of all I looked at the other posts on this model but didn't really see a solution. This is where I am so far. I have replaced the power supply and the mainboard (both used). I'm still having the same problem. The tv standby light comes on, I push the power button, the backlights flash and the tv shuts down. The tv can't be turned off unless I unplug and reconnect the power cord. I have tested the backlight strips with an LED tester and all of them are working fine. I can unplug the led connector from the power supply and the tv turns off and on like it should. Also with it unplugged, and...

Hello, this TV currently has me stumped. As the title states, when I power on the unit, the backlight comes on for 1 second then shuts off. The TV is still on, and I can see the video if I shine a flashlight on the screen.

Using the LED backlight tester I was able to confirm all LEDs are illuminating and seem to be working correctly when independently powered by this tester, so that leads me to believe there is something wrong with the power supply board.

Perhaps the great minds here can help me figure it out, as I don't see any thing obviously wrong with it. The...

Hello, I have a problem with my Samsung UE48H6410SSXZG with the main board BN41-02156A and the power board BN44-00709A. Everything seemed like this, the TV could no longer be switched on, the standby LED always flashed 5x2 times. Backlight was off and no sound from TV. Also made the flashlight test and there was no picture.

                                          I made the following tests:
                                          1. Disconnected the main board from Power Board = backlight works.
                                          2. Connected the main board and disconnected the T-Con = backlights does not work.

So I ordered a main board from Ebay also BN41-02156A but from...

                                          VIZIO M557-G0: Backlights or ???

                                          'Morning,
I get sound and picture when powering on the TV and its stays that EXCEPT that the left half of the screen will dim every few seconds then return to normal while the right side of the screen performs as designed.

Did the soft and hard reset options pulling the plug, using the reet option in the vizio menu to no avail.

I checked the mainboard - found some popped capacitors so replaced it - but that did not change the situation.

I checked the t-con board. It is getting good power. Then I removed one ribbon cable to see if I could isolate...
