The image is suffering from solarization. I'm suspecting the AS19-H1G chip.

can you post a picture of the fault a bad main board can cause solarization too sometimes.
on the tcon there some gamma test points can you test them and post the voltages usually 1 to 22 test points

I will not be surprised if it has bad GAMMA Voltages.

Philips T.Con Part Number 996510018929. Gamma IC fault is very common with this board. if you are looking to replace board match the bar code number 35-D024023 any other board will not work correctly. If you are thinking to replace the IC, preheat back of board before applying heat to the IC makes life easier

                Hello Flocko & Budm,
Thanks for your advice which is appreciated. Hopefully someone can shed some light on the readings I've just taken to confirm if it is a bad Tcon board. I have included the picture being sent from my laptop for reference.

yes defently bad so you either need to change the chip yourself (or find someone willing to do it for you if you havnt got the tools/skills ) or look for another tcon that there willing to accept returns on if faulty.

                    Hello vinceroger69
Many thanks for your diagnoses. I may try and change the AS19-H1G chip myself having had a steep learning curve on a previous Tcon recently not realising that the chip base was soldered to the board. Won't fall for that one again. Thanks to everyone for their help and assistance.

Go for it ,You will never know until you try, the worst that could happen is you will damage the T.Con board, and it faulty anyway. So just take your time, good luck let us know how it goes

The set is now up and running after a friend replaced the AF19-H1G IC for me and he did a neat job.
Thanks to all for your help and advice.

                              by netgearnetgear
Good day, I have a TCL TV: Model 43s423. After turning ON the TV, the ROKU TV logo appears with fine lines over the whole screen, then after a while there are vertical bands in the middle of the screen top to bottom and the TV tries to update its firmware but I do not have the remote to connect it to my new network connection. Also the Power ON light blinks 2 times in quick succession. When I remove the ribbon on the right of the tcon board the left side of the screen shows but with fine lines. If I remove the left side ribbon and connect the right side ribbon the whole screen is blank with...

Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...

Faulty CRT AKF12/Philips CM8500: bad flyback?
                              by tony359
                              Hi all,

I have a CRT (Acorn AKF12, based on the 240V version of the Philips CM8500) which has stopped working. It's making a high pitched noise but not too high. I know this is symptom of a faulty flyback.

What happens when a flyback fails? I see that the main voltages out of the PSU are not reaching rated values, as if there is a short.
There are supposed to be 125V/26.5V/15.5V outputs but I am reading something like 48V, 10V and 8V. If I unplug the PSU from the rest of the PCB, I can measure the expected values.

Can it be a short somewhere...

Hi to all! first post here, awesome forum. Greetings from Spain. I'm a electronic technician but I forgot many things because I was working in IT all my life :-)

I got a TV Philips 42PFL5603D/12 (chassis SQ522.2E LA) without remote control and no history to follow.
TV has random failures. Sometimes, stucks in a rebooting loop showing white led and video and audio signals, then fixed red light (stand by?) for some seconds, then red light goes off and white light come again with video and audio showing just fine. This rebooting stages, has random working times.

This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...
