Hi to all! first post here, awesome forum. Greetings from Spain. I'm a electronic technician but I forgot many things because I was working in IT all my life :-)
I got a TV Philips 42PFL5603D/12 (chassis SQ522.2E LA) without remote control and no history to follow.
TV has random failures. Sometimes, stucks in a rebooting loop showing white led and video and audio signals, then fixed red light (stand by?) for some seconds, then red light goes off and white light come again with video and audio showing just fine. This rebooting stages, has random working times.
Another behaviour I got was no video signal at all when I plug in 220v and some strange led behaviur: white led on then off and red light on then off and white led on again and repeat until TV starts ok. Sometimes I got a red light blinking 9 times (error 9 at manual: SUPPLY FAILURE).
I had checked all boards for visual damage, everything seems ok. I changed all electrolitic caps for new ones, just in case but no luck, same result. Reworked some solderings just in case, no luck.
I noticed a blue led on t-con board, when I start TV. Some seconds later, blue led goes off and Tv still showing video.
Another thing I had noticed is when TV goes off it makes a low click sound (not sure if this comes from speakers).
Finally, a weird thing to me: never in all my test, I got the typical welcome Philips blue screen. TV just display video and audio directly.
If someone knows about typical failure of this chassis and model, would be higly appreciated or any comments welcome.
