Re: Sanyo DP42840 P42840-05 set wont turn on

If you look at the LVDS connections, the two boards are not the same, look at the component with 'X' which means it is not used (installed). There are many 'X' on both boards so the two boards are not the same.
You need to look at the schematics in details to see if they are really the same or you may cause damages.

Look at those two schematics: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpo...3&postcount=22
              Sanyo DP42840 P42840-05: Your original
and the one you are trying to use the P42740-04, add or remove those 'X' to make it the same as your original.
I also do not know what will happen with the screen resolutions.

pins 6,7,8 and 9 is the ones I omitted, turns o now with sound still no picture, I think the inverter or tcon is why first mainboard went out? when I unplug K8L from anolog board the inverter lights up screen so could be tcon maybe?

Do you mean you REMOVE/ADD those resistors which are not supposed to be there and there in your original board? The LDVS connectors pinout are the same, the resistors that are used and not used are not the same.
Look at the two diagram again, can you see those 'X' resistors?
You are trying to make the board that was made for Plasma to work with LCD, correct?

Look at the two PDF I attached so you can see what are need to be removed and added, it is tedious works so you need to look at the diagram of both boards and make the board you are trying to use to be the same as the original.
Print out both diagram and mark the differences.

Did you look at both diagrams? That section is just part of the whole board that I know are not the same, who knows what else in the board that are not the same.

See how many parts you need to add/remove?
                            Print them out and look.

As you can see, your original board diagram in the 'Pch-MOSFET' section that I marked, it has the 3 Transistor and the MOSFET, resistors, caps to receive the 'T-CON POW-ON' signal. The board that you want to use does not have that section stuffed with the components.
I do not even see how the board you want to use get the 12VDC to feed the T-CON from since the inductors are not in place either due to the fact it is made for PLASMA..
                                    http://www.shopjimmy.com/panasonic-t...ab-d-board.htm
It does not get the power through the LVDS cables, not like your LCD panel.

Hello, i have some issues with my laptop Lenovo Y700-17ISK (motherboard BY511 NM-A541), it started when i turn on the laptop, but the lcd wont turn on, i then connected it via hdmi to tv and screen was ok. So i thought maybe lcd stripe is faulty, i removed the bottom cover, disconnected main battery, reset the cmos by disconnecting battery for 1 min, then slighty move the lcd stripe. Conncted power supply and tuned on my laptop, the lcd turn on, it started to load os, then it turn off, after a second it turn on, then after like 3 seconds turn off again, and so on. To all the members here...

Let me tell you a little bit about what happened to my laptop (MSI GF63 THIN 11UCX model: MS-16R6) that “maybe” you know how to solve this problem.

So before this problem happened, my laptop was running smoothly. When I wanted to restart my laptop, it looked fine at first. But after I waited for this restart process to take a long time, until finally I panicked (because the restart process did not finish plus the laptop screen only showed a black screen), I immediately pressed and held the power button to force the laptop to turn off. But...

Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 4520 from a couple of decades ago and I want to repair it solely for nostalgia.

It happens that when I turn it on after having been disconnected for a long time, it turns on without problems, it tells me that the BIOS has been reset and that it will load the factory settings, if I tell it to continue, the computer turns on and everything works fine.

The moment I turn it off and want to turn it back on a second time, or restart it and try to start it again, it no longer gives an image, and it no longer responds.

                                            If I remove the...

                                            Hi everyone,

I am dealing with the problem of turning on and off my Dell e7470 notebook.

The battery charge light is solid white, I press the button, the power indicator and the light on the button are solid for 1-2 seconds and immediately turn off.

The system does not turn on, there is no post.

I removed the RAMs and changed them, changed the battery, RTC battery, AC adapter, removed them and waited, tried again, it does not turn on.
The problem continues in the same way.
I tried to turn on the Fn key, nothing came to the screen....

                                            Hi everyone,

I've got a little "problem child": my Dell Latitude 7420 2-in-1, which had a faulty mainboard.
I replaced it, but ever since, the touchscreen no longer works — and honestly, I’m running out of ideas…

In Windows Device Manager, I just see an I2C HID Device with error code 10. Sporadically, the touchscreen is recognized correctly for just a few seconds, but I haven’t been able to determine under which circumstances this happens.

The touchscreen also doesn’t work in UEFI/BIOS, although it’s enabled...
