Here are a few pics showing pins 9 and 11 being tested.

Where is your Black probe? The Black probe should be on pin 11 (GND), Red on pin 9 (5.3VDC).
The board is not mounted to the chassis so CN4 24V GND will be tied to the GND of the CN2.

Ok after using the proper GND (Pin 11, thanks for teaching me something new) Pin 9 does shows 6.1VDC

That's better! With the main board disconnected, force the PSU on. Check all the voltage rails (and watch the GND) lol.

To force PSU on short Pin 9 - 5.3V with Pin 12 - PSON at CN2?

1k ohm resistor from 5.3 to PSon on CN2, turns on the PSU. Another 1k ohm resistor from 5.3V to BLon, turns on the backlight. It may need some voltage on the DIM pin too (short BLon to DIM pins or take a third resistor from 5.3 to DIM). I see there are two backlight adjustment pins... I wonder why that is?

Ok I have a 1k resistor going from Pin 9 to Pin 12

Using Pin 11 as GND, I see 6VDC at Pins 9 and 12

Using Pin 11 as GND, I see 6VDC at Pins 1-4 but using any of the other GND pins at CN2 I see no voltage at Pins 1-4

I put the PSU back in the chassis and plugged in the boards

Powered on the TV and checked voltages

All voltages are present, 5.3VDC, 12.5VDC and 24VDC at all locations

When all boards are plugged in all I get is the standby light blinking 21 with a pause between over and over until I unplug the TV.

Last night when I put the PSU back into the chassis to test for power output the TV turned on and functioned normally until I turned it off and tried to turn it back on, then it was back to the 21 blinks.

Does the TV blink 21 times right after plugging it in, after turning it on etc? What happens if you disconnect the inverter board and turn the TV on? How where you able to measure all voltage rails earlier with all boards connected (post 53), if it does blink all the time 21 times and wont come on?

In reply to post #56, all voltages are present while the light is blinking 21 times over and over.

                                          CN2
                                          Pin 9 - 5.3VDC
                                          Pin 12 - 3.1VDC
                                          Pin 14 - 0

All 24VDC going to the inverter are present.

When the TV decides to function normally and turn on I do see voltage at Pin 14 (BL_SW)

I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.

Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ?

                                            Hi all,

Wife has 2 Philips hair curling irons half defective - after learning how they're supposed to work and testing them, it turned out that both have defective power cables, and both on the same place; broken wires due to wire bending.
As they were both relatively easy to disassemble, and cables are plugged not soldered (as they can rotate in the handle), I was sure it would be easy to find replacements. But - NO! I'm unable to find anything similar on ebay or Aliexpress.

Not sure if this is something Philips proprietary, or a standard, but the cable plug...

                                            Philips 47PFS7509/12 LCD TV problem

                                            Hi

I have here a Philips 47PFS7509/12 LCD TV which came to me with a weird problem : without signal i could access menu, make a factory reset, access menus, etc.
When i applied cable signal to check image, i had normal picture, but TV was restarting.
I downloaded original firmware and applied the update, but the problem remained.
From a colleague i received a "factory package software" which is a lot bigger.
I made another firmware update, but still did not solve the problem.
Somewhere on the way the error got worse, because at the moment the...

Philips 43PUS7506/12 - Loud blown out sound
                                            by aidanmo
                                            Hello,

I've got a really strange issue with the speakers on my Philips 43PUS7506/12. It makes this awful loud buzzing now. It happened after it was attempted to be wall mounted - I think the back got squeezed and something broke.
I thought maybe the speakers got damaged, so I replaced them - no dice.
                                            • Using the internal speakers, it always happens.
                                            • Using the headphone jack, it never happens.
                                            • Using the digital/optical out with a soundbar - it happens after about 2h/movie runtime - it's never as drastic, it just pops in and out, but I didn't want it to damage the sound bar
