OK ive bought A chip for it from ebay , im going to take to someone with better eyes than me and who can solder the IC in place, Ill let you know how i got on.
Its still worth taking the voltages of the tcon now with the old chip fitted in my opinion, just incase the new chip is also faulty some ebay chips can be faulty when new.
Try Emos TV. They offer a cost effective repair service of AUO Tcon boards. I had a KDL37V5500 in today with exactly the same Tcon fault. They also guarantee their service not worth trying it yourself. Best of luck to you.
