    same part number, but it does not need to be the same maker.

    so an AZ1117-3.3 could be swapped for an LM1117-3.3 for example.
    if it's a 1117 you just need to match the voltage.

    This might be a dumb question but do i have to get the exact same Voltage regulator model number or just the same volt number if a voltage regulator tested bad?

    yes,
    3 pins usually.
    one is the input, one is output and one is either ground, or goes through resistors to set the output voltage.

    go download a datasheet for a 1117 regulator.

    Yes, there are regulator ICs on the main board.
    Your TV has more than one versions so I do not know exact one that you have, they are not cheap.

    They can have the same body case style but the electrical function are not the same.
    Voltage regulator IC is an integrated circuit contain many transistors, diodes, resistor, caps, etc.

    My personal experience on almost every Vizio main board from this era is as follows:

    If the screen lights up briefly with the vizio logo then freezes, the eeprom usually fixes it. If there is no backlight as you've describes but the logo changes color, then 95% + of the time it's going to be one or more bad voltage regulators.

    It is not showing as shorted circuit, using Ohm meter can only do so much for testing the MOSFET, but this MOSFET has nothing to do with what the TV is doing right now, it is the main board that is not sending the signals to turn on the power supply board and the inverter board but we need to know if those Voltage readings are made with the power switch is activated or not, that is VERY IMPORTANT info I need to know.

    on this laptop hp g72 b52sf i have screen problems as you can see with the photo joined in attachments.
    the used graphic card is "intel hd graphics" and the id of the integrated screen is : "monitor/SEC3354".
    i verified the driver of the pΓ©ripherals and they are ok. i verified the definition and settings of the graphic card and of the screen : definition 1600x900 and refreshment frequency :60hz. (they are the sames for the graphic card and the screen).
    i don't understand the reasons of the white stripe at the bottom of the screen below the task...

    Recently I discovered my SSD died (OCZ/Toshiba 240 GB). It was in a USB enclosure, attached to the Linksys WRT-AC1200 router. Since then I removed the USB enclosure and attached it to my Win7 PC (AMD 8150 CPU, 970 chipset, 64 GB RAM). I also gathered one or two other USB enclosures to figure out what is going on.

    (I suspect that I lost quite a few MP3 and FLAC files I recently ripped from my audio CDs, I think I lost very little un-replaceable stuff.)

    I think it is IMPOSSIBLE for Win7 to have any problems with a USB enclosure as long as Win7 knows how to speak to the...

    Got this speaker from a friend , defective. Power led comes on and off , in a loop.
    Disassembled, got the board out, and after a bit of measuring I found a low resistance on a 5v6 line. With a bit of current I found a transistor heating up on that line (labeled T1 and 113 as on pic).
    After removing this guy, I got a value of 0.7 in diode mode on that 5v6 line, which before had 0.02 or something like that.

    I tested powering it up without the IC, and the speaker turns on and stays on, and works fine

    Still, I need to replace this transistor....

    Need help to solve some problems with this laptop.

    After working in bed with it one night and heating up too much (probably the cause of this problems) the sata HDD OS windows froze
    After restart the original Sata HDD was not recognized anymore (but works fine in other laptops or PCs)

    Tried connecting other good Sata 2.5 HDDs but not one is working in this laptop anymore (not the original nor others)

    Before this had happened I observed some other problems:
    When I tried replacing original mecanical HDD with a SSD HDD could not get them...
