    No pic and probably no backlight but will have the 5v STBY as set "attempts" to power.... So will be missing the 12v and 24v.

    Can you give me a close up pic of the connector that goes from the PSU to main (Top left of your image) so I can see the labels for voltages please.

    Need to confirm voltages at this connector to confirm the missing voltages and see what's going on.

    Dare I even try to get involved as my LCD knowledge is slim but if the front led changes colour have you then checked what DC voltages are present on the PSU at the connectors?

    Does it remain white? If you get a flashlight and try to put some light on the TV can you make out an image?

    there maybe other posts on Vizio E470VL. tried a search on model yet?

    It's a Vizio E470VL, picture on the TV doesn't come on but the orange standby light changes from orange to white when I press power on the TV.

    maybe explain to every one the fault + Tv model photos of boards etc

    Chances are that FET is ok

    And like newtothis said, click on advanced, manage attachments and upload direct, max size of image is 2000 x 2000 so you may need to resize the photos

    Transistor for TV problems

    I'm a noob when it comes to these types of things, I have a transistor that i tested, it seems to be a bad one. I'm trying to order a new one from Amazon but i don't know which one I should get, can someone please post a link from Amazon on which type of transistor I should get,here's a pic of the bad transistor.
