Most likely TCON.

Looks like Bad GAMMA IC.
Probably this is the T-CON in his TV with AS15 GAMMA IC.

thxs guys. i did suspect the tcon board, just didnt want to buy one untill i was sure as they about £50,
i looked into changing the ic but look tricky.
will order tcon as soon as i see one turn up on ebay,

You haven't open the screen yet, right?
Once, I had something very similar and it was a pot on the LCD PCB, it got knocked off the board by me, when I was putting the screen together.

i hadnt opened it untill the fault but have since had the bk off to look at the parts

received new tcon board today, fitted and tv fully working, thxs guys
