Hi. Just been give the above TV. Has sound but no picture.
Tried the flash light test and can't c any image.
So no wondering what I need to test next.

Ue40c5100.
Any know if there any other models that might have the same led backlight strip to fit this TV. -

All fixed. I bypassed the first led that was dead. Now TV works fine.
Only thing was I put a small crack in the Perspex sheet. And I wasn't sure in what order or Perspex and plastic sheets went in.

I've get the led strip out and testing each led with continuity test. Some light up. Some beep. And one does nothing.

Says led driver output 256v
Test the 4 wires at top. 0v on both black and the blue start at 150v when TV turned on the after few seconds they jump to 320v.Leave a comment:

I would but not about for a few days so thought I would ask as I have free time atm. There only 3 boards. Psu main and tcon.
I'm sure main and tcon r ok.
The psu has two sockets. One to the main and other I think it backlight. 4 wires. 2 red and 2 black
When testing the two red I get 320V. So if that's backlight its way to high.Leave a comment:

Hi. Have above TV that has no backlight so I'm wondering how I go about testing them. Done the flashlight test and could c the menu.
Have just fitted a new power board so hoping it's not that. -

Installed the repair kit today.
Plugged TV in and BANG
SOMETHING in board went with massive bang.
So pushed TV aside for another day.

Samsung ps50q96hd keeps blowing fuse
Has a Samsung plasma that was making ticking noise so opened it up and
Noticed the fuse in centre of the power board was blown. So changed that and plugged TV back in and fuse popped again.
So. Unplugged all other boards and replaced fuse again.
It didn't blow.
So plugged main board in. And it went again.
So looking for ideas on what to check. -

I have the above TV which when first turned on has dark picture.
Only Colors visable are faint reds.
But if I press menu that is visable.
TV then comes on after about ten minutes.
I did read about bad tabs and flexing the screen might work. But didn't make any difference
So wondering if it could be anything else. -

I've stripped TV and placed pressure on the tabs but nothing changing. Any advise on how to test the if tabs are gone.
