another picture of the power supply where the CN4 and CN5 connectors are. So we can read the pin outs.

First off what voltages are you getting on these pins.Use the pin out description with the voltage you measured beside it. We got to find out if the issue is on the main board itself or on the power supply. See what you get TV on vs TV off.

With the ribbon cables disconnected on CN4 and 5, measure stby and 3.3V stby pins on CN4.
After that you could "force" the PSU on using a two 1k ohm resistors. One from the standby voltage to PSon and the other from standby voltage to BLon. This should bring up all voltage rails and the backlight.

I tried to DL that schematic, but everything is slower than molasses here today.

                cn4 and cn5 cables disconnected, 3v3 stby=3.3.vdc and stby=2.6vdc

Need clarification on 1k from stby to PSon... stby or 3v3 stby and which pin is PSon.. is this done with cables connected..

                Thanks

3.3V Stndby = Standby power from PSU to main board.
Standby = PSon is from main board back to the PSU to tell the PSU to turn on. Same as the BLon. That comes from the main board and tells the PSU to turn the back light on.

                    is this correct

1k from standby to 3.3v standby
                    1k from standby blon

                    cables disconnected

                        "1k from standby (PS-ON) to 3.3v standby = OK
1k from standby blon = wrong, it is 1K between BL-ON and 3.3VSTBY.

Sorry... no... I guess the thread moved fast down and I am kind of busy with little crap that needs to be dealt with. Some days I have more time than others. Not easy having 4 kids home

I thought it was clear to use the 3.3V standby voltage, as I explained what the standby (PSon) does.

O.k. I guess we have trouble with the PSU not firing up. I DLed the service manual on here, but for some reason I can't read it. Schematic is too blurry. I guess we got to find another one.

I found another service manual, but it didn't include the schematic for the PSU
Shopjimmy has had a repair kit for that board and they replaced following:
                                Transistors 5 Q101, 501, 601, 602, 603
                                Integrated Circuits 4 U101, 401, 501, 601
                                Diodes 3 D301, 601, 602
                                Capacitors 1 C102
                                Fuses 2 F101(37'), F101(47")

                                Gives you something to do.

since we thought the ps may be bad did a little more experimenting.

                                  stby to gnd
                                  3.3 stby to bl-on

                                  Back lights ON
                                  12.5vdc where specified
                                  power supply good

question - this would indicate main board bad...
checked on shop jimmy and they state a new board needs configuring..
                                  what does configuring mean ???

                                  thanks

So it is active LO for the PS-ON.
Best is to ask SJ exactly what is involved to do the configuration.

Since the PSon is backwards in the power supply and it does fire up, I guess the problem is on the main board that controls the PSon. Maybe that transistor is bad that pulls the STBY or PSon to GND.
What you could do is maybe to put the TV back together, take the PSon wire off the PSU (in order that it doesn't backfeed to the main board) and short the PSon pin from the PSU to GND. The TV should come alive.

Tried last suggestion: cn4 & cn5 reconnected, PSon (stby) to ground..
led on front panel blinks four times and repeats tv does not power up..
Guess we will look for a new main board, Shop Jimmy is out...

                                          Hello, guys!

The same 32" Philips TV I was having video issues, but now I don't have standby led at all. Someone here shared with me the schematic of the power supply, and checking the voltages, I see right after the resistor R604 I'm getting 1.6 v which is too low for enabling the Gate of the Q601 mosfet (the diagram says 4.2). On the R614 resistor I'm getting 181 V in and 117 V out, then through R603 I'm getting the same 117 V in and 59.9 V out, finally getting the latter voltage in the R604 BUT getting just 1.6 V out, which is the voltage that goes on to the Gate of the Q601...

Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.

It does power up when pressing the power button.

I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.

Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ?

                                          Hi all,

Wife has 2 Philips hair curling irons half defective - after learning how they're supposed to work and testing them, it turned out that both have defective power cables, and both on the same place; broken wires due to wire bending.
As they were both relatively easy to disassemble, and cables are plugged not soldered (as they can rotate in the handle), I was sure it would be easy to find replacements. But - NO! I'm unable to find anything similar on ebay or Aliexpress.

Not sure if this is something Philips proprietary, or a standard, but the cable plug...

                                          Hi

I have here a Philips 47PFS7509/12 LCD TV which came to me with a weird problem : without signal i could access menu, make a factory reset, access menus, etc.
When i applied cable signal to check image, i had normal picture, but TV was restarting.
I downloaded original firmware and applied the update, but the problem remained.
From a colleague i received a "factory package software" which is a lot bigger.
I made another firmware update, but still did not solve the problem.
Somewhere on the way the error got worse, because at the moment the...

                                          Hello,

I've got a really strange issue with the speakers on my Philips 43PUS7506/12. It makes this awful loud buzzing now. It happened after it was attempted to be wall mounted - I think the back got squeezed and something broke.
I thought maybe the speakers got damaged, so I replaced them - no dice.
                                          • Using the internal speakers, it always happens.
                                          • Using the headphone jack, it never happens.
                                          • Using the digital/optical out with a soundbar - it happens after about 2h/movie runtime - it's never as drastic, it just pops in and out, but I didn't want it to damage the sound bar
