First off what voltages are you getting on these pins.Use the pin out description with the voltage you measured beside it. We got to find out if the issue is on the main board itself or on the power supply. See what you get TV on vs TV off.Last edited by CapLeaker; 03-28-2015, 06:00 AM.Comment

With the ribbon cables disconnected on CN4 and 5, measure stby and 3.3V stby pins on CN4.
After that you could "force" the PSU on using a two 1k ohm resistors. One from the standby voltage to PSon and the other from standby voltage to BLon. This should bring up all voltage rails and the backlight.
I tried to DL that schematic, but everything is slower than molasses here today.Comment

Re: Philips 47pfl5704d/f7 Added Pictures
3.3V Stndby = Standby power from PSU to main board.
Standby = PSon is from main board back to the PSU to tell the PSU to turn on. Same as the BLon. That comes from the main board and tells the PSU to turn the back light on.Comment

"1k from standby (PS-ON) to 3.3v standby = OK
1k from standby blon = wrong, it is 1K between BL-ON and 3.3VSTBY.Never stop learning

Re: Philips 47pfl5704d/f7 Added Pictures
Sorry... no... I guess the thread moved fast down and I am kind of busy with little crap that needs to be dealt with. Some days I have more time than others. Not easy having 4 kids home
I thought it was clear to use the 3.3V standby voltage, as I explained what the standby (PSon) does.Comment

Re: Philips 47pfl5704d/f7 Added Pictures
I found another service manual, but it didn't include the schematic for the PSU
Shopjimmy has had a repair kit for that board and they replaced following:
Transistors 5 Q101, 501, 601, 602, 603
Integrated Circuits 4 U101, 401, 501, 601
Diodes 3 D301, 601, 602
Capacitors 1 C102
Fuses 2 F101(37'), F101(47")
Gives you something to do.Comment

Re: Philips 47pfl5704d/f7 Added Pictures
since we thought the ps may be bad did a little more experimenting.
stby to gnd
3.3 stby to bl-on
Back lights ON
12.5vdc where specified
power supply good
question - this would indicate main board bad...
checked on shop jimmy and they state a new board needs configuring..
what does configuring mean ???
thanksComment

So it is active LO for the PS-ON.
Best is to ask SJ exactly what is involved to do the configuration.Never stop learning

Re: Philips 47pfl5704d/f7 Added Pictures
Since the PSon is backwards in the power supply and it does fire up, I guess the problem is on the main board that controls the PSon. Maybe that transistor is bad that pulls the STBY or PSon to GND.
What you could do is maybe to put the TV back together, take the PSon wire off the PSU (in order that it doesn't backfeed to the main board) and short the PSon pin from the PSU to GND. The TV should come alive.Last edited by CapLeaker; 03-31-2015, 05:13 AM.Comment

by G33RTPhilips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.
It does power up when pressing the power button.
I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.
Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ? -
by aidanmoHello,
I've got a really strange issue with the speakers on my Philips 43PUS7506/12. It makes this awful loud buzzing now. It happened after it was attempted to be wall mounted - I think the back got squeezed and something broke.
I thought maybe the speakers got damaged, so I replaced them - no dice.- Using the internal speakers, it always happens.
- Using the headphone jack, it never happens.
- Using the digital/optical out with a soundbar - it happens after about 2h/movie runtime - it's never as drastic, it just pops in and out, but I didn't want it to damage the sound bar

by bohabohaHi it looks like everything works don't know where to test except the 390v in the 2 capacitor in the hot side of the power supply and the weird 180v in the diodes in the cold side that should be discharged it is writin on the circuit no more you can read what is written on the circuit quite srrange color mixiing yellow and white
anyhow i couldn't t read anything else
the backlight is on strong and the screen does not get dark or very dark but no pictures
the mainborad feels a bit hott on the black part i test it to 52 degree's against 34 to 40 on the rest of it

by valvashonThe 55" LG has been in the basement for a few months without being used. Turned it on yesterday, set came on as it should and showed a complete screen for about 5 seconds (was on a broadcast channel but no antenna was connected), then the screen went mostly dark with about 1/3 of the screen on the right lighting up with brighter lines in that lit part (sorry, no pictures of that). Power LED was cycling too, preventing the TV from fully powering up.
Pulled the back off, all boards looked OK. Pulled the LED connector, turned the set on to see if it would power up but I don't belive it... -
by CornitoHello Team,
New issue on LCD panel where I need to find out the cause and the potential solution.
This is on the Philips 50PUH6400, the LCD panel is an INNOLUX V500dk2 xrs1.
I have image, on the right side, the image is more or less normal even if there is a small blur on edge, on the left there is an issue.
When moving up and down in the menu on the right the image is slow to disappear, and is darker, like red/brown.
I've checked voltages, no issue found comparing right and left side of the panel driver.
